Dynamic Master Curves of Polymer Modified Asphalt from Three Different Geometries

open access: yesApplied Rheology, 2003
Polymer modified asphalt is an highly temperature sensitive material. To obtain the master curves of dynamic material functions, for this material, it is necessary to perform the testing over the temperature interval from -30˚C to at least 90˚C. Since in

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Decomposition of s - Concentration Curves [PDF]

open access: yes
For any given order of stochastic dominance, standard concentration curves are decomposed into contribution curves corresponding to within-group inequalities, between-group inequalities, and transvariational inequalities.

Characterization of viscoelastic behavior of basalt fiber asphalt mixtures based on discrete and continuous spectrum models.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
In order to analyze the differences between the master curves of relaxation modulus E(t) and creep compliance J(t) obtained from discrete and continuous spectrum models, and to comprehensively evaluate the effect of basalt fiber content on the ...

Identification of a Shiga toxin A‐derived peptide internalized into Gb3 receptor‐bearing cells via interaction with the Shiga toxin B subunit

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

Characterization and Differentiation of Chemical Heterogeneity in Humic Substances by Continuous Intrinsic Proton Affinity Distribution

open access: yesAdsorption Science & Technology, 2002
The chemical heterogeneity of proton binding on humic substances was studied via continuous intrinsic proton affinity distributions calculated using the condensation approximation from the master curves for two soil fulvic acids (FAs), one soil humic ...

Investigating transcription factor dynamics in health and disease using FRAP

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
FRAP analysis of GFP‐tagged transcription factors reveals how molecular mobility and target engagement change in response to drug treatment. By combining live‐cell imaging, quantitative model fitting, and statistical analysis, this approach uncovers transcription factor dynamics linked to disease mechanisms, providing a powerful framework for ...

LIGHT CURVE TYPES OF CLASSIC T TAURI STARS

open access: yesOdessa Astronomical Publications, 2016
By using the archive photometric data’s obtained for a long time intervals we have carried out a master light curves of 28 classical T Tauri type stars. For the physical character of variability mainly 5 type light curves can be separated.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.
