Dynamic Modulus Prediction of a High‐Modulus Asphalt Mixture

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2021
Dynamic modulus is a key evaluation index of the high‐modulus asphalt mixture, but it is relatively difficult to test and collect its data. The purpose is to achieve the accurate prediction of the dynamic modulus of the high‐modulus asphalt mixture and further optimize the design process of the high‐modulus asphalt mixture.

Comparative Study on Complex Modulus and Dynamic Modulus of High-Modulus Asphalt Mixture [PDF]

open access: yesCoatings, 2021
In the French high-modulus asphalt mixture design system, the complex modulus of the mixture under the conditions of 15 °C and 10 Hz is taken as the design index. However, in China, the dynamic modulus under the conditions of 15 °C, 10 Hz, 20 °C, 10 Hz and 45 °C, 10 Hz was taken as the stiffness modulus index of high-modulus asphalt mixture.

ANALYSIS OF STATIC AND DYNAMIC DEFORMATION MODULUS [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering Structures and Technologies, 2016
This article summarises dynamic deformation modulus correlation with second reload of static plate load test results for an even thickness soil strata layer. An analysis of execution and result interpretation of both static deformation modulus and dynamic deformation modulus is provided also.

Assessing the Interfacial Dynamic Modulus of Biological Composites. [PDF]

open access: yesMaterials (Basel), 2021
Biological composites (biocomposites) possess ultra-thin, irregular-shaped, energy dissipating interfacial regions that grant them crucial mechanical capabilities. Identifying the dynamic (viscoelastic) modulus of these interfacial regions is considered to be the key toward understanding the underlying structure–function relationships in various load ...

Field Verification of Superpave Dynamic Modulus [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Materials in Civil Engineering, 2010
In the mechanistic-empirical pavement design guide, prediction of flexible pavement response and performance needs an input of dynamic modulus of hot-mix asphalt at all three levels of hierarchical inputs. This study was intended to find the best way to predict/derive this input.

Rutting as a Function of Dynamic Modulus and Gradation [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Materials in Civil Engineering, 2011
This study was conducted to investigate rutting resistance of asphalt concrete (AC) mixtures as a function of dynamic modulus and gradation. The Flow number (FN) test, the (NCHRP 9-19) recommended procedure for evaluating rutting resistance of AC mixtures, was used to simulate rutting in the laboratory.

Young’s modulus of graphene: A molecular dynamics study [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review B, 2009
The Young's modulus of graphene is investigated through the intrinsic thermal vibration in graphene which is `observed' by molecular dynamics, and the results agree quite well with the recent experiment [Science \textbf{321}, 385 (2008)]. This method is further applied to show that the Young's modulus of graphene: 1.

Numerical Modeling of the Dynamic Elastic Modulus of Concrete

open access: yesMaterials, 2023
This article introduces simulations of theoretical material with controlled properties for the evaluation of the effect of key parameters, as volumetric fractions, elastic properties of each phase and transition zone on the effective dynamic elastic modulus.

Dynamic Shear Modulus in Torsion of Human Dentin

open access: yesDental Materials Journal, 1988
The dynamic shear modulus of human dentin was measured using a torsion pendulum between 23°C and 150°C. Dentin had a relatively stable modulus in spite of increasing temperature. The shear moduli at 37°C for 20 specimens were in the range of 5.77×1010 dyne/cm2-1.06×1011 dyne/cm2.
