Synergy Between Photon‐to‐Phonon Pathway and Active Lattice Oxygen Enables Efficient and Stable Syngas Synthesis

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This work reports the design of a multifunctional MnOx support coupled with classic Rh catalytic centers for light‐driven dry reforming of methane. Benefiting from efficient photon‐to‐phonon conversion pathway and a dynamic OL‐OV cycle, the catalyst achieves high syngas production rates and light‐to‐chemical energy efficiency without external heating ...

A critique of master sintering curve analysis

Journal of the European Ceramic Society, 2018
Abstract In this work, we explore factors affecting the accuracy of the master sintering curve (MSC) approach for analyzing the complete sintering profile of ceramic powders. We show that the instantaneous anisotropic shrinkage must be accounted for to develop an accurate MSC.

Master sintering curve and activation energy of sintering of ZrO2-doped Al2O3

Ceramics International, 2021
Abstract Master sintering curve (MSC) was used to make an estimation of the apparent activation energies of undoped Al2O3 and ZrO2-doped Al2O3 samples in the intermediate density range (60–83%). ZrO2 at low concentrations of 2000 ppm and 5000 ppm were used for doping Al2O3. Dilatometric studies were performed using three different heating rates (5, 7.

A differentiating approach to the master sintering curve analysis

Ceramics International, 2020
Abstract The master sintering curve (MSC) has been widely applied in analyzing and predicting the densification process during sintering. The usual approach to the MSC analysis supposes that the apparent activation energy of sintering Q keeps constant during the whole sintering process, but some studies reported that the density influenced Q.
