Explicit Resilient Functions Matching Ajtai-Linial [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the Twenty-Eighth Annual ACM-SIAM Symposium on Discrete Algorithms, 2017
A Boolean function on n variables is q-resilient if for any subset of at most q variables, the function is very likely to be determined by a uniformly random assignment to the remaining n-q variables; in other words, no coalition of at most q variables has significant influence on the function.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Semantic matching of cloud resource service for user product design requirement

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Mechanical Design, Systems, and Manufacturing, 2019
Under the cloud manufacturing (CMfg) environment, a multilayer semantic matching model of design requirement and cloud service resource based on ontology was proposed to guarantee the rapid and accurate matching of resource services to meet the cloud ...

Is the matching function Cobb-Douglas? [PDF]

open access: yes
We study the theoretical properties that particular matching functions must satisfy to represent a frictional labor market within a general equilibrium random matching model.

A methionine‐lined active site governs carbocation stabilization and product specificity in a bacterial terpene synthase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study reveals a unique active site enriched in methionine residues and demonstrates that these residues play a critical role by stabilizing carbocation intermediates through novel sulfur–cation interactions. Structure‐guided mutagenesis further revealed variants with significantly altered product profiles, enhancing pseudopterosin formation. These

Efficient algorithms for string pattern matching to protect search content

open access: yes网络与信息安全学报
Efficient algorithms for online string pattern matching have been deemed crucial for cloud database retrieval. However, the potential leaking of search content has been recognized as a threat to users' privacy. Existing string pattern matching algorithms

A Polygon and Point-Based Approach to Matching Geospatial Features

open access: yesISPRS International Journal of Geo-Information, 2017
A methodology for matching bidimensional entities is presented in this paper. The matching is proposed for both area and point features extracted from geographical databases.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Does the Hartz IV Reform have an Effect on Matching Efficiency in Germany? A Stochastic Frontier Approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In the course of a comprehensive labor market reform started in 2002 and finished through the implementation of the most radical measure Hartz IV in 2005, I exploit its impact on matching processes in Germany.

Spatial dependencies in German matching functions [PDF]

open access: yesRegional Science and Urban Economics, 2012
Abstract This paper proposes a spatial panel model for German matching functions to avoid possibly biased and inefficient estimates due to spatial dependence. We provide empirical evidence for the presence of spatial dependencies in matching data. Based on an official data set containing monthly information for 176 local employment offices, we show ...
