Models of Matching of Fuzzy Sets
Kybernetes, 1993Develops a general framework for processes of matching fuzzy quantities. Indicates how different hierarchy levels of matching indices are constructed from a relational way of description of the matching process. Making use of max‐min and min‐max fuzzy relation equations, respectively, clarifies how the entire matching proceeds.

Parikh Matching in the Streaming Model
2012Let S be a string over an alphabet Σ={σ1, σ2, …}. A Parikh-mapping maps a substring S′ of S to a |Σ|-length vector that contains, in location i of the vector, the count of σi in S′. Parikh matching refers to the problem of finding all substrings of a text T which match to a given input |Σ|-length count vector.

A deformable model for fingerprint matching
Pattern Recognition, 2005The process of automatic fingerprint matching is affected by the nonlinear deformation introduced in the image during fingerprint sensing. Given several template impressions of a finger, we estimate the ''average'' deformation of each template impression by comparing it with the rest of the impressions of that finger.

Matching labor's share in a search and matching model [PDF]
In the United States, labor’s share of income falls after a positive disturbance to productivity growth or inflation, and it remains low for some time. Previous researchers have argued that the negative relationship between productivity growth and labor’s share is puzzling. I argue otherwise.

Model matching for finite state machines
Proceedings of 1994 33rd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2001The problem of model matching has been previously considered for linear (see \textit{B. Moore} and \textit{L. Silverman} [ibid. 17, 491-497 (1972; Zbl 0263.93033)], \textit{A. S. Morse} [ibid. 18, 346-354 (1973; Zbl 0264.93005)]) and nonlinear (\textit{M. D. Di Benedetto} [ibid. 35, 1351-1355 (1990; Zbl 0734.93039)], \textit{A. Isidori} [ibid.

Deformable Object Modelling and Matching
2011Statistical models of the shape and appearance of deformable objects have become widely used in Computer Vision and Medical Image Analysis. Here we give an overview of such models and of two efficient algorithms for matching such models to new images (Active Shape Models and Active Appearance Models).

The Models that Can Be Matched by Feedback
2018Model matching (or exact model matching) is a problem of great interest in systems theory and applications. It consists of compensating a given system so as to achieve a specified target transfer function matrix. For linear time-invariant systems and regular static state feedback compensation, the solution is well known.
