Alternative Approaches to Statistical Matching

2002
Throughout this chapter we consider the matching problem as a problem of “file concatenation”, a term coined by Rubin (1986); see Figure 4.1. First the two files A and B are concatenated and then the missing values of each part are multiply imputed to reflect uncertainty about the missing data and the unknown association of the variables never jointly ...

Statistical Matching Of Different Source

1990
The problem of Statistical Matching rises when it is necessary to gather pieces of information concerning the same population, recorded in two or more data files, which have little or no overlap and it is anyway impossible to identify the individuals, in order to do the exact match of the two files.

Measuring uncertainty in statistical matching

2011
An important feature of statistical matching is that the underlying joint distribution of the variables of interest is not identifiable. This produces a form on “uncertainty” on the statistical model. A measure to evaluate such an uncertainty is proposed. The effect of prior information in the form of constraints is exploited.

Nonparametric approaches to statistical matching

2006
