Statistical learning in official statistics: The case of statistical matching
Statistical Journal of the IAOS: Journal of the International Association for Official Statistics, 2019Data integration is becoming a crucial task in National Statistical Institutes in order to exploit the information provided by already existing data sources. Here the focus is on statistical matching methods; they are designed to integrate data stemming out from traditional sample surveys referred to the same target population. In particular, this work

Improved image matching algorithm based on LK optical flow and grid motion statistics
International journal of computer application and technology, 2022: In order to solve the problems of low accuracy and long time-consuming of AKAZE algorithm in the image matching of glass encapsulated electrical connectors, an improved image matching algorithm based on LK optical flow and grid motion statistics is ...

Robust statistical inference for matched win statistics
Statistical Methods in Medical Research, 2022As alternatives to the time-to-first-event analysis of composite endpoints, the win statistics, that is, the net benefit, the win ratio, and the win odds have been proposed to assess treatment effects, using a hierarchy of prioritized component outcomes based on clinical relevance or severity. Whether we are using paired organs of a human body or pair-

Summary: A technique based on goodness-of-fit statistics is presented for classification of binary images via template matching. The approach is essentially rotation invariant and is independent of the distribution generating the images. Its validity is demonstrated by application to comparison of binary images of aircraft.

Proceedings International Conference on Microelectronic Test Structures, 2002
A statistical approach for evaluating the stochastic mismatching between two identically designed elements on the same chip is discussed. An approach to determine accurate matching parameters for a specific pair of devices and to obtain realistic worst case parameters for the area dependency model is presented.

Statistical Matching and Official Statistics
Rivista di statistica ufficialeStatistical matching procedures are methods that aim at the integration of sources. A description of real contexts in the Italian National Statistical Institute, in which these methods appear to be useful, is given. The necessary steps for the application of statistical matching are analysed.

Correction of Incoherences in Statistical Matching
2013Statistical matching is studied inside a coherent setting, by focusing on the problem of removing inconsistencies. When structural zeros among involved variables are present, incoherencies on the parameter estimations can arise. The aim is to compare different methods to remove such incoherences based on specific pseudo-distances.
