Matching Pixels Using Co-occurrence Statistics

2018 IEEE/CVF Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2018
We propose a new error measure for matching pixels that is based on co-occurrence statistics. The measure relies on a co-occurrence matrix that counts the number of times pairs of pixel values co-occur within a window.

Statistics of color-matching experimental data

Applied Optics, 1999
By assuming that color matches are normally distributed in XYZ space, we present a rigorous statistical technique to obtain regions of equally noticeable chromaticity differences. The probability density function of color matches in (x, y, Y) space is calculated according to standard techniques in probability theory.

Improved multipoint statistics method for reconstructing three-dimensional porous media from a two-dimensional image via porosity matching.

Physical Review E, 2018
Reconstructing a three-dimensional (3D) structure from a single two-dimensional training image (TI) is a challenging issue. Multiple-point statistics (MPS) is an effective method to solve this problem. However, in the traditional MPS method, errors occur

On a matching statistic

Statistics & Probability Letters, 1984
A discrete time process on [0,1] considered in this paper is related to various problems involving two independent samples. In particular one may suggest a simple matching rule for the case of continuously generated samples and a goodness-of-fit test based on the number of unmatched elements. A recurrence formula for computing the exact distribution of

Statistical Matching Theory

2019
In this paper, we survey some recent developments on statistical properties of matchings of very large and infinite graphs. We discuss extremal graph theoretic results like Schrijver’s theorem on the number of perfect matchings of regular bipartite graphs and its variants from the point of view of graph limit theory.

Uncertainty Analysis in Statistical Matching

2012
Among the goals of statistical matching, a very important one is the estimation of the joint distribution of variables not jointly observed in a sample survey but separately available from independent sample surveys. The absence of joint information on the variables of interest leads to uncertainty about the data generating model.

An investigation of statistical matching

Journal of Applied Statistics, 1988
This Paper examines the file-merging technique of statistical matching. Details are given of both its practical application and its numerical accuracy. In particular, it is shown that the ability of statistical matching to recreate correlations between variables existing only in different files is dependent on some respective assumptions which are ...
