Circulating tumor cells in metastatic breast cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors – a biomarker analysis of the ALICE and ICON trials

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.

Propensity Score Matching Pada Pemanfaatan Data Hasil Web Scraping Untuk Perbaikan Statistik Resmi

open access: yesJambura Journal of Mathematics
The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) welcomes the challenge of utilizing big data. One of the BPS publications that can be supported using big data is the inflation figure collected from the consumer price survey.

Non-parametric style transfer: Correlation-aware exact distribution matching

open access: yesJournal of King Saud University: Computer and Information Sciences, 2023
Early feed-forward neural methods of arbitrary image style transfer utilized the encoded feature map up to its second-order statistics, i.e., mean and variance (or covariance) of the encoded feature map.

Large Displacement Optical Flow Estimation Based on Robust Interpolation of Sparse Correspondences

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Recently, the interpolation of correspondences method has been widely used in optical flow estimation, because it produces an accurate flow field and costs little runtimes.

Matching Methods for Causal Inference: A Review and a Look Forward [PDF]

open access: yesStatistical Science 2010, Vol. 25, No. 1, 1-21, 2010
When estimating causal effects using observational data, it is desirable to replicate a randomized experiment as closely as possible by obtaining treated and control groups with similar covariate distributions. This goal can often be achieved by choosing well-matched samples of the original treated and control groups, thereby reducing bias due to the ...

KRAS and GNAS mutations in cell‐free DNA and in circulating epithelial cells in patients with intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms—an observational pilot study

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that KRAS and GNAS mutations are more prevalent in patients with resected intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms (IPMN) compared to those under clinical surveillance. GNAS mutations significantly differ between the two patient cohorts, indicating that their absence may serve as a potential biomarker to support conservative ...

Fluxo de empregos, fluxo de trabalhadores e fluxo de postos de trabalho no Brasil

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Political Economy, 2010
Job flows, workers flows and employment flows in Brazil. The labor market is in constant flux. When measuring labor market mobility, it is usual to estimate labor market flow statistics, such as worker reallocation and job reallocation.

Double-matched matrix decomposition for multi-view data [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
We consider the problem of extracting joint and individual signals from multi-view data, that is data collected from different sources on matched samples. While existing methods for multi-view data decomposition explore single matching of data by samples, we focus on double-matched multi-view data (matched by both samples and source features).

The statistical mechanics of multi-index matching problems with site disorder [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. E 74, 041122 (2006), 2006
We study the statistical mechanics of multi-index matching problems where the quenched disorder is a geometric site disorder rather than a link disorder. A recently developed functional formalism is exploited which yields exact results in the finite temperature thermodynamic limit.
