Chromosome‐scale genome assembly of the South American fruit fly, Anastrepha fraterculus sp.1

open access: yesInsect Science, EarlyView.
Anastrepha fraterculus sp. 1 is a major fruit fly pest in Argentina, currently controlled through chemical treatments and traps. This study aims to enhance the genomic understanding of this species to support the development of sterile insect technique as well as the use of innovative technologies.

Starving or Stuffing? Plasticity in Wild Boar Body Mass Variations During Summer in a Mediterranean Area

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
Assessing drivers of population dynamics helps to mitigate human–wildlife conflicts. In Mediterranean areas, summer aridity reduces resources, potentially affecting ungulates' body condition and reproduction. In a mixed forested‐rural area, wild boar female body mass increased throughout summer in rainy‐mild years and decreased in hot‐dry years.

Climatic–Anthropogenic Synergy Drives Escalating Minimum Area Requirements and Connectivity‐Protection Mismatch in a Karst‐Endemic Primate

open access: yesIntegrative Zoology, EarlyView.
Climate change and anthropogenic activities drive antagonistic degradation of landscape connectivity for endangered François’ langur (1987–2024), causing 48.8% habitat loss, north‐south fragmentation, and centroid migration (1.2 km/yr). Despite protected areas buffering connectivity, static management fails dynamic priority habitats; we propose ...

Predictive Lung- and Spleen-Targeted mRNA Delivery with Biodegradable Ionizable Lipids in Four-Component LNPs

open access: yesPharmaceutics
Background/Objectives: Lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) are leading mRNA delivery vehicles, with ionizable lipids (ILs) as their key component. However, the relationship between the IL structure and LNP endogenous organ-targeting is not well understood.

Public Trust in Global AI Governance Across Geopolitical Rivals

open access: yesGlobal Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The global governance of artificial intelligence (AI) depends on coordination among national governments, international organizations, and non‐state actors. While existing research has mapped the institutional complexity of the emerging AI regime, public trust in the stakeholders involved remains underexplored.

Recumbent FES‐Cycling Exercise Improves Muscle Performance and Ambulation Capacity in Hospitalized Patients: A Randomized Controlled Trial

open access: yesArtificial Organs, EarlyView.
Both groups received the usual routine hospital care. Beyond usual care, the intervention group received the high‐intensity, low‐volume FES‐cycling exercise protocol. Study highlights are as follows: (1) High‐intensity, low‐volume FES‐cycling exercise increased strength, power, and neuromuscular efficiency. (2) Ambulation capacity improved threefold in

Longitudinal changes in choroidal thickness in high myopia: Correlation with maculopathy progression and visual outcomes

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose To evaluate longitudinal changes in choroidal thickness (CT) in highly myopic eyes and their correlation with myopic maculopathy progression and visual outcomes. Methods Retrospective cohort study on 1228 eyes from 781 highly myopic patients with a minimum 5‐year follow‐up (mean 11.5 ± 3.1 years).
