Convergent Evolution and De Novo Reconstitution of Apiin Biosynthesis
ABSTRACT Apiin, an active flavonoid apioside, occurs in phylogenetically distant plants, such as parsley and chilli pepper (Capsicum annuum L.). Its sporadic distribution suggests the existence of convergent apiin biosynthesis; however, the molecular mechanisms underlying this convergence remain unclear.

ABSTRACT 7‐β‐xylosyl‐10‐deacetyltaxol (XDT) is much more abundant than the anticancer drug Taxol in Taxus species and is usually regarded as the by‐product of Taxol. It could be enzymatically transformed into 10‐deacetyltaxol (DT), and the latter could be further converted into Taxol.

The Material and Textual Value of Manuscript and Print Binding Waste☆
Abstract In 2019, the Foundation of Christ's Hospital at Lincoln made a bequest of early printed books to the Bodleian Library. The collection is rich in sixteenth‐century tooled bindings, many of which preserve manuscript and printed waste in the form of pastedowns, endleaves and endleaf guards.
