Delamination Analysis of Multilayered Functionally Graded ‎Beams which Exhibit Non-linear Creep Behavior [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied and Computational Mechanics, 2023
General solution of the time-dependent strain energy release rate for delamination cracks in multilayered functionally graded load-bearing beam structures which exhibit non-linear creep is derived.

Analysis of longitudinal cracked two-dimensional functionally graded beams exhibiting material non-linearity [PDF]

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity, 2017
An analytical study of longitudinal fracture in two-dimensional functionally graded cantilever beam configurations is carried-out with taking into account the non-linear behavior of material. A longitudinal crack is located arbitrary along the beam cross-

Analysis of Hollow Section “Y” Connections with the Application of Non-Linear Material Modeling

open access: yesMetals, 2023
The use of welded structural hollow sections in civil engineering is relatively new. Design of connections in steel structures with welded structural hollow sections requires a more specified approach, compared to traditional connections achieved with ...

The load bearing capacity of railway masonry arch bridges [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This paper deals with the way of calculating the load-bearing capacity of masonry arch railway bridges. It reviews the basic aspects of structural behaviour of these bridges, such as material non-linearity of masonry and interaction with the soil ...

Longitudinal fracture of inhomogeneous beams with material non-linearity: An analytical investigation

open access: yesApplied and Computational Mechanics, 2020
This paper describes an analytical approach for analysing of longitudinal fracture in beam structures which exhibit smooth material inhomogeneity along the height and length.

Enabling pseudo-ductility in geopolymer based glass-ceramics matrix composites by slurry dilution

open access: yesOpen Ceramics, 2021
Carbon fibre reinforced composites with matrix consisting of porous glass-ceramics obtained by high temperature heat-treatment of geopolymer based material are studied. The matrix is obtained from a slurry. Several composites have been manufactured by in-

Analysis of cylindrical delamination cracks in multilayered functionally graded non-linear elastic circular shafts under combined loads [PDF]

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity, 2018
This paper is focused on delamination fracture analyses of a multilayered functionally graded circular shaft under two loading combinations (centric tension and torsion, and bending and torsion) assuming non-linear elastic mechanical behavior of the ...

Metal-Free Perovskites for Non-Linear Optical Materials [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Science, 2019
We identify the existence of nonlinear optical (NLO) activity in a number of novel ABX3-type metal-free perovskites, where A is a highly tuneable organic cation, B is a NH4 cation and X a halide anion. Through systematic first-principles calculations, we identify important trends to chart the second-harmonic generation of this class of materials.

Longitudinal fracture analysis of inhomogeneous beams with continuously varying sizes of the cross-section along the beam length

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity, 2020
Analyses of longitudinal fracture behavior of inhomogeneous beams which have continuously varying sizes of the cross-section along the beam length are carried-out. Beams of a rectangular cross-section are studied.
