Analysis of Material Removal Efficiency in Face Milling of Aluminum Alloy
Lecture Notes in Mechanical Engineering, 2019In the machining of components, increasing the material removal efficiency is a constant challenge in technology planning. That is why when determining cutting data it is recommended to endeavor to choose values that increase the material removal rate, as long as the accuracy and quality requirements specified for the machined components can be ...

Efficiency of recycled wool-based nonwoven material for the removal of oils from water
Chemosphere, 2008The aim of this study was to highlight the potential use of recycled wool-based nonwoven material for the removal of diesel fuel, crude, base, vegetable and motor oil from water. Sorption capacity of the material in water and in oil without water, oil retention, sorbent reusability and buoyancy in static and dynamic conditions were investigated.

Cellulose-based materials and their adsorptive removal efficiency for dyes: A review
International Journal of Biological Macromolecules, 2023Dyes are emerging as harmful pollutants, which is one of major issues for the environmentalists and there is a urgent need for the removal of dyes from the effluents. In this context, the adsorption technology has been extensively used as an effective tool for the removal of dyes from the aqueous phase.

Fe2O3/diatomite materials as efficient photo-Fenton catalysts for ciprofloxacin removal
Environmental Science and Pollution Research, 2022In this study, we used Fe2O3/diatomite material system toward ciprofloxacin (CIP) photo-Fenton removal in water under visible light (vis) excitation. The characterization of Fe2O3/diatomite catalysts was determined by X-ray diffraction patterns, Fourier-transform infrared analysis, inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, and scanning electron ...

Persistent organic pollutants (POPs) exist widely in the environment and place significant impact on human health by bioaccumulation. Efficient recognition of POPs and their removal are highly challenging tasks because their specific structures interact often very weakly with the capture materials.

Polyethylenimine “Snow”: An Emerging Material for Efficient Carbon Removal
ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, 2019Amine-functionalized solid adsorbents are one of the most promising alternatives to the conventional "amine scrubbing" for carbon capture with a number of prominent examples being reported. However, their widespread application in industry is unfulfilled due to their overall performance and complex fabrication, which relies on a porous support. In this

A Frag Bag for Efficient Removal of Dislocated Nuclear Material
Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 2017Dislocated nuclear material may be present in the vitreous cavity following complicated cataract surgery, closed globe injury, or spontaneous dislocation of the crystalline lens. The authors report herein a method to remove larger pieces of retained nuclear material during vitrectomy surgery with a retractable basket made from nitinol referred to as ...

The threshold and efficiency of material removal
ICALEO 2000: Proceedings of the Laser Materials Processing Conference, 2000A transient one-dimensional laser drilling model with variable properties is developed for a finite thickness material. The model contains three different physical domains, solid, liquid and vapor. The material properties such as absorptivity, thermal conductivity, and heat capacity can be functions of temperature.

Phase change material for efficient removal of crystal violet dye
Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2010Hazardous dye removal and recovery from wastewater requires efficient capturing material. We report a phase change material (PCM) with phase change temperature of 16 degrees C giving up to 98% removal of crystal violet in few minutes. The PCM was found to collect 54 times of its weight soluble dye.
