Implant Material Sciences

Dental Clinics of North America, 2021
In the past, the only way to replace missing teeth was to have a removable appliance. However, these days, dental implants are commonly being used to replace missing teeth. The dental implants are improving as a result of new technological and scientific advances.

Halogen bonding for molecular recognition: new developments in materials and biological sciences.

Chemical Communications, 2020
Two decades ago, halogen bonding attracted considerable attention as a new type of non-covalent interaction and has now emerged as an important supramolecular tool for crystal engineering, demonstrating its ability to self-assemble low affinity entities.

Materials Science

Journal of Dental Research, 1981
Wax pattern surface treatments were compared to determine their effectiveness in reducing contact angles incident at wax pattern-investment interfaces.. Gypsum-bonded and phosphate-bonded investments were examined. A coordinate system was used to obtain a polynomial expression from which the contact angles could be determined.

Using Materials Science

Science, 1981
The science of the solid state has joined nuclear science and molecular biology as a field of major importance in the latter half of the 20th century. It took particular shape during the genesis of solid-state electronics and the post-transistor era of integrated circuits for telecommunications, computers, and digital signal machines.

Materials Science

Journal of Dental Research, 1982
A three-dimensional finite element model was used to investigate the biomechanical response of a porous rooted Co-Cr-Mo alloy implant. The load displacement responses calculated from the finite element model were verified with experimentally-determined values for three cylindrical, porous rooted Co-Cr-Mo alloy dental implants retrieved from canines ...
