Quantifying Perovskite Solar Cell Degradation via Machine Learning From Spatially Resolved Multimodal Luminescence Time Series

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 15, 17 August 2026.
LumPerNet combines automated aging, multimodal luminescence imaging, and leakage‐aware deep learning to predict perovskite solar cell efficiency retention. By combining PLoc, PLsc, EL images, and device‐specific reference states, the framework captures degradation‐relevant optical signatures and shows that global luminescence evolution, complemented by

Comparing the Accuracy of Osteological Sex Estimation Against Genetic Sex Obtained From Human Dental Calculus in 12th–19th C. British Individuals Accuratezza della stima osteologica del sesso confrontata con la determinazione del sesso genetico ottenuta dal tartaro dentale in individui britannici tra XII e XIX secolo

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Biological Anthropology, Volume 190, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives For anthropologists and forensic scientists, sex estimation using skeletally dimorphic traits is fundamental in biological profile reconstruction. Archaeogenetic research on past populations allows us to identify genetic sex generating opportunities to validate the accuracy of commonly used skeletal traits.

DNA barcoding for identification of species involved in wildlife strikes at Brazilian airports

open access: yesThe Journal of Wildlife Management, Volume 90, Issue 6, August 2026.
A collaborative network of 42 Brazilian airports applied DNA barcoding to identify 80 species involved in wildlife strikes. Among them, 32 species (17 birds and 15 bats) were not currently available in Brazil's wildlife strike reporting database, underscoring the value of molecular tools for strengthening wildlife strike monitoring. Abstract This study

Ecological and functional effects of habitat conversion and seasons on fruit‐feeding butterfly assemblages in tropical dry forests Efeitos ecológicos e funcionais da conversão do habitat e da sazonalidade sobre assembleias de borboletas frugívoras em florestas tropicais secas

open access: yesEcological Entomology, Volume 51, Issue 4, Page 760-773, August 2026.
Land‐use change and seasonality shape the taxonomic, functional and phylogenetic diversity of fruit‐feeding butterflies in tropical dry forests. Pastures reduce phylogenetic diversity and increase wing fluctuating asymmetry, while taxonomic and functional diversity is greater in the wet season than in the dry season.

Spanish stock returns, growth, and inflation, 1900–2020

open access: yesThe Economic History Review, Volume 79, Issue 3, Page 922-956, August 2026.
Abstract This paper studies equity returns in the Madrid Stock Exchange and their connections with the macroeconomy from the emergence of a stock market around 1900 to its ‘big bang’ at the turn of the twenty‐first century. Using high‐quality data from primary sources and the methodology of the modern IBEX35 (published since 1987), we constructed an ...
