Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Very high temperature chemistry: Science justification for containerless experimentation in space [PDF]
A summary is presented of the justification for application of containerless processing in space to high temperature science. Low earth orbit offers a gravitational environment that allows samples to be positioned in an experimental apparatus by very ...

Mouse pre‐implantation development involves a transition from totipotency to pluripotency. Integrating transcriptomics, epigenetic profiling, low‐input proteomics and functional assays, we show that eight‐cell embryos retain residual totipotency features, whereas cytoskeletal remodeling regulated by the ubiquitin‐proteasome system drives progression ...

Silicon whisker crystal-based strain gauges for low-temperature applications.
The strain characteristics of p-type silicon whisker crystals have been investigated in the temperature range of 4.2 – 300 K. On their basis, strain gauges with an anomalously high gauge factor at 4.2 K have been developed for measuring deformation in ...

Tensile behavior of Fe-40Al alloys with B and Zr additions [PDF]
Both Fe-40Al and Fe-40Al-0.1Zr with and without B were produced by the hot extrusion of powdered metal. Tensile properties were determined from room temperature to 1100 K in air.
