Mathematical Analysis of Ultrafast Ultrasound Imaging [PDF]

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Applied Mathematics, 2016
This paper provides a mathematical analysis of ultrafast ultrasound imaging. This newly emerging modality for biomedical imaging uses plane waves instead of focused waves in order to achieve very high frame rates.

A mathematical analysis of the axial anomaly [PDF]

open access: yesLetters in Mathematical Physics, 2018
As is well known to physicists, the axial anomaly of the massless free fermion in Euclidean signature is given by the index of the corresponding Dirac operator. We use the Batalin-Vilkovisky (BV) formalism and the methods of equivariant quantization of Costello and Gwilliam to produce a new, mathematical derivation of this result.

Monte Carlo solution of heat conductivity problems with quadratic nonlinearity on the boundary of domain [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2023
In this work, we study the approach connected with branching Markov processes. Branching Markov random processes are created to solve boundary-value problems (BVR) with polynomial nonlinearities.

Stability analysis of the coexistence equilibrium of a balanced metapopulation model

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2021
We analyze the stability of a unique coexistence equilibrium point of a system of ordinary differential equations (ODE system) modelling the dynamics of a metapopulation, more specifically, a set of local populations inhabiting discrete habitat patches ...

Analytic Resolving Families for Equations with the Dzhrbashyan–Nersesyan Fractional Derivative

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2022
In this paper, a criterion for generating an analytic family of operators, which resolves a linear equation solved with respect to the Dzhrbashyan–Nersesyan fractional derivative, via a linear closed operator is obtained.

Disentangling the Information in Species Interaction Networks

open access: yesEntropy, 2021
Shannon’s entropy measure is a popular means for quantifying ecological diversity. We explore how one can use information-theoretic measures (that are often called indices in ecology) on joint ensembles to study the diversity of species interaction ...
