Mathematical model for pulsed chemotherapy

open access: yesITM Web of Conferences, 2015
A pulsed chemotherapeutic treatment model is investigated in this work. We prove the existence of nontrivial periodic solutions by the mean of Lyapunov-Schmidt bifurcation method of a cancer model. In this model we consider the case of application of two

Association of CDKN2A/B Homozygous Deletion and Extent of Resection With Survival of Patients With WHO CNS5 Grade 4 Astrocytoma

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives WHO grade 4 astrocytomas are associated with poor prognosis, and their prognostic factors remain controversial. This study aimed to identify the prognostic factors and develop a management algorithm for these patients. Methods This study retrospectively included 151 CNS5 adult grade 4 astrocytomas from two medical centers.

Mathematical model of thermal aggregates [PDF]

open access: yesActa Montanistica Slovaca, 1998

Mathematical model for predicting human vertebral fracture [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
Mathematical model has been constructed to predict dynamic response of tapered, curved beam columns in as much as human spine closely resembles this form. Model takes into consideration effects of impact force, mass distribution, and material properties.

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

A fractal-fractional mathematical model for COVID-19 and tuberculosis using Atangana–Baleanu derivative

open access: yesMathematical and Computer Modelling of Dynamical Systems
This study aims to develop a compartmental epidemiological model for the co-infection of COVID-19 and tuberculosis, incorporating a Holling type II treatment rate for individuals with tuberculosis, COVID-19, and dual infections while considering ...

A simple mathematical model for Ebola in Africa

open access: yesJournal of Biological Dynamics, 2015
We deal with the following question: Can the consumption of contaminated bush meat, the funeral practices and the environmental contamination explain the recurrence and persistence of Ebola virus disease outbreaks in Africa?

Current Tracking Adaptive Control of Brushless DC Motors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
In this paper, the current tracking for Brushless Direct Current motors is approached considering uncertainty in the parameters of the motor's model. An adaptive control scheme to compensate electrical parameters uncertainty is proposed without requiring any knowledge of the mechanical parameters.

An Adaptive Human Pilot Model With Reaction Time Delay for Enhanced Adaptive Control in Piloted Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This work introduces an adaptive human pilot model that captures pilot time‐delay effects in adaptive control systems. The model enables the prediction of pilot–controller interactions, facilitating safer integration and improved design of adaptive controllers for piloted applications.

Application of Microlocal Analysis to an Inverse Problem Arising from Financial Markets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
One of the most interesting problems discerned when applying the Black--Scholes model to financial derivatives, is reconciling the deviation between expected and observed values.
