This paper brings together methods to solve and/or characterize solutions of some problems of mathematical physics equations involving p-Laplacian and p-pseudo-Laplacian. Using the widely debated results of surjectivity or variational approaches, one may

A Mathematical Model of a Micrometastasis [PDF]
Experimental evidence indicates that tumour metastases can exist for long periods in a dormant state, with cell proliferation balancing cell death. However, this balance can be upset, by removing the primary tumour for instance, which causes the metastasis to grow, or by adminstering a substances inhabiting angiogenesis which causes the metastasis toi ...

A New Platform for Automatic Bottom-Up Electric Load Aggregation
In this paper, a new virtual framework for load aggregation in the context of the liberalized energy market is proposed. Since aggregation is managed automatically through a dedicated platform, the purchase of energy can be carried out without ...

Ramanujan-type congruences modulo 4 for partitions into distinct parts
In this paper, we consider the partition function Q(n) counting the partitions of n into distinct parts and investigate congruence identities of the form Q(p⋅n+p2-124)≡0 (mod4),Q\left( {p \cdot n + {{{p^2} - 1} \over {24}}} \right) \equiv 0\,\,\,\left(

The Desalination Process Driven by Wave Energy: A Challenge for the Future
The correlation between water and energy is currently the focus of several investigations. In particular, desalination is a technological process characterized by high energy consumption; nevertheless, desalination represents the only practicable ...

A q-Series Congruence Inspired by Andrews and Ramanujan
For each s∈{1,3,5}, we consider Rs(n) to be the number of the partitions of n into parts not congruent to 0, ±s(mod12). In recent years, some relations for computing the value of R3(n) were studied.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Driven Primary Regulation for Minimum Power Losses Operation in Islanded Microgrids
The paper proposes an improved primary regulation method for inverter-interfaced generating units in islanded microgrids. The considered approach employs an off-line minimum losses optimal power flow (OPF) to devise the primary frequency regulation curve&

Comparison of Statistical Production Models for a Solar and a Wind Power Plant
Mathematical models to characterize and forecast the power production of photovoltaic and eolian plants are justified by the benefits of these sustainable energies, the increased usage in recent years, and the necessity to be integrated into the general ...
