The Mistakes in the Mathematical Learning/Teaching Process

open access: yesEducação: Teoria e Prática, 2010
The aim of this paper is to contribute with the questions about the Mathematical learning/teaching process at elementary school presenting a positive point of view from the pupil’s mathematical mistakes in sense that the ones could be take as a ...

Estimating input allocation for farm supply models [PDF]

open access: yes
When building an economic model for supply analysis the aim is to model a decision making process of one or more agents which fits the observed practice as good as possible.

Microsphere Autolithography—A Scalable Approach for Arbitrary Patterning of Dielectric Spheres

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
MicroSphere Autolithography (µSAL) enables scalable fabrication of patchy particles with customizable surface motifs. Focusing light through dielectric microspheres creates well defined, tunable patches via a conformal poly(dopamine) photoresist. Nearly arbitrary surface patterns can be achieved, with the resolution set by the index contrast between ...

Quantifying Spin Defect Density in hBN via Raman and Photoluminescence Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐optical method is presented for quantifying the density of boron vacancy spin defects in hexagonal boron nitride (hBN). By correlating Raman and photoluminescence signals with irradiation fluence, defect‐induced Raman modes are identified and established an relationship linking optical signatures to absolute defect densities. This enables direct

Electrochemical Formation of BiVO4/BiPO4 Photoanodes for Enhanced Selectivity toward H2O2 Generation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In acidic KPi, V dissolves from the BiVO4 lattice, while adsorbed phosphate reacts with the electrode under an external bias, forming a BiPO4 surface layer. This BiPO4 layer exhibits stronger bicarbonate adsorption, redirecting the water oxidation pathway toward two‐electron H2O2 production.

Higher-Order Skolem’s Paradoxes [PDF]

open access: yes
Some analogous higher-order versions of Skolem’s paradox will be introduced. The generalizability of two solutions for Skolem’s paradox will be assessed: the course-book approach and Bays’ one.

Reconfigurable Magnetic Soft Microrobot for Acoustically Triggered Targeted Bacterial Sterilization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Reconfigurable magnetic soft microrobots integrate in situ‐grown piezoelectric zinc oxide nanorods that produce reactive oxygen species upon acoustic excitation. Combining magnetically guided transport with thermally induced planar reconfiguration, the microrobots achieve targeted delivery and enhanced bacterial sterilization through efficient on ...

Atomically Revealing Bulk Point Defect Dynamics in Hydrogen‐Driven γ‐Fe2O3 → Fe3O4 → FeO Transformation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In situ TEM uncovers the atomic‐scale mechanisms underlying hydrogen‐driven γ‐Fe2O3→Fe3O4→FeO reduction. In γ‐Fe2O3, oxygen vacancies cluster around intrinsic Fe vacancies, leading to nanopore formation, whereas in Fe3O4, vacancy aggregation is suppressed, preserving a dense structure.

Computers in mathematical practice: an exercise of micro history

open access: yesO Que Nos Faz Pensar, 2016
The use of computers in mathematical practices is a theme for philosophical, historical and sociological reflections. Samples of the myriad of questions that arise when mathematics definitively incorporates computers in its domain can be drawn from the ...
