The Ck Space [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
In this article, we formalize continuous differentiability of realvalued functions on n-dimensional real normed linear spaces. Next, we give a definition of the Ck space according to [23].This work was supported by JSPS KAKENHI 22300285Kanazashi Katuhiko

Connecting mathematics teaching with vocational learning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
For many vocational students in England, mathematics is now a compulsory part of their programme, yet the inclusion of an academic subject within a vocational course presents challenges.

Application of the "Fishbone" Technology in the Organization of Independent Work of Students in Higher Mathematics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Formation of a creative personality able to self-development, self-education, and innovative activity is the main objective of graduate education. In this regard, a special attention should be paid to the organization of independent work of students in a

Separability and distillability in composite quantum systems -a primer- [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Quantum mechanics is already 100 years old, but remains alive and full of challenging open problems. On one hand, the problems encountered at the frontiers of modern theoretical physics like Quantum Gravity, String Theories, etc.

Matrix Structure Exploitation in Generalized Eigenproblems Arising in Density Functional Theory

open access: yes, 2009
In this short paper, the authors report a new computational approach in the context of Density Functional Theory (DFT). It is shown how it is possible to speed up the self-consistent cycle (iteration) characterizing one of the most well-known DFT ...

Structural dynamics of the plant hormone receptor ETR1 in a native‐like membrane environment

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The present study unveils the structural and signaling dynamics of ETR1, a key plant ethylene receptor. Using an optimized nanodisc system and solution NMR, we captured full‐length ETR1 in a native‐like membrane environment. Our findings reveal dynamic domain uncoupling and Cu(I)‐induced rigidification, providing the first evidence of metal‐triggered ...

The history of the concept of function and some educational implications [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
Several fields of mathematics deal directly or indirectly with functions: mathematical analysis considers functions of one, two, or n variables, studying their properties as well as those of their derivatives; the theories of differential and integral ...

Decrypting cancer's spatial code: from single cells to tissue niches

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial transcriptomics maps gene activity across tissues, offering powerful insights into how cancer cells are organised, switch states and interact with their surroundings. This review outlines emerging computational, artificial intelligence (AI) and geospatial approaches to define cell states, uncover tumour niches and integrate spatial data with ...

Multi‐omic profiling of squamous cell lung cancer identifies metabolites and related genes associated with squamous cell carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using multi‐omic characterization, we aimed to identify key regulators specific to squamous cell lung carcinoma (SqCC). SqCC‐specific differentially expressed genes were integrated with metabolics data. High expression of the creatine transporter SLC6A8, along with elevated creatine levels, appeared to be a distinct metabolic feature of SqCC.
