Genomic Evolution and Patterns of Horizontal Gene Transfer in Coccomorpha Species

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
This study reveals the genomic adaptations of Coccoidea pests through comparative analysis of five chromosome‐level genomes. Key findings include whole‐genome duplication events, expansion of antioxidant‐related gene families, horizontal gene transfer for nutrient metabolism, and species‐specific detoxification mechanisms linked to pesticide resistance.

Exploring the Mitogenomes of Acroneuriinae: The First Report of Gene Rearrangements in Plecoptera Species and Phylogenetic Analyses of Perlidae

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 10, October 2025.
First reported gene rearrangements in plecopteran mitogenomes. The monophyly of the subfamily Acroneuriinae and the phylogenetic relationships among tribes within this subfamily are still controversial. ABSTRACT Perlidae represents one of the most diverse and ecologically important groups within the order Plecoptera.

Effect of Carbon‐Based Nanofillers with Different Geometries on the Crystallization Behavior and Molecular Dynamics of Poly(Butylene Furanoate) (PBF)

open access: yesMacromolecular Chemistry and Physics, Volume 226, Issue 20, October 20, 2025.
Bio‐based Poly(butylene furanoate) (PBF) nanocomposites reinforced with 1% wt. Carbon Nanotubes (CNT)s or Graphene Oxide (GO) were successfully synthesized via in situ polymerization. The nanofillers enhanced crystallization, thermal stability, and mechanical performance due to their nucleating ability and interfacial interactions.
