This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

The combinatorially symmetric P-matrix completion problem
An n-by-n real matrix is called a P-matrix if all its principal minors are positive. The P-matrix completion problem asks which partial P-matrices have a completion to a P-matrix.

Screening and epitope characterization of Nidogen‐2‐specific nanobodies
Camel immunization and phage display were employed to generate high‐affinity VHH nanobodies against Nidogen‐2. After library construction, biopanning, ELISA screening, sequencing, and recombinant expression, selected nanobodies were purified and characterized, leading to the preliminary exploration of a nanobody‐based sandwich ELISA for specific ...

Enhancing Matrix Completion Using a Modified Second-Order Total Variation
In this paper, we propose a new method to deal with the matrix completion problem. Different from most existing matrix completion methods that only pursue the low rank of underlying matrices, the proposed method simultaneously optimizes their low rank ...

Matrix metalloproteinase‐9 (MMP9) drives ovarian cancer progression. Using MMP9‐null cells (M9‐KO) created from ovarian cancer cells, we found MMP9 loss did not block Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF)‐driven E‐cadherin dissolution or EMT but delayed and reduced EGF‐driven membrane protrusions. Transient MMP9 re‐expression drove membrane protrusion.

Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.

Graph theoretic methods for matrix completion problems
A pattern is a list of positions in an n×n real matrix. A matrix completion problem for the class of Π-matrices asks whether every partial Π-matrix whose specified entries are exactly the positions of the pattern can be completed to a Π-matrix. We survey

A Designed Thresholding Operator for Low-Rank Matrix Completion
In this paper, a new thresholding operator, namely, designed thresholding operator, is designed to recover the low-rank matrices. With the change of parameter in designed thresholding operator, the designed thresholding operator can apply less bias to ...

Evolutionarily divergent DUF4465 domains have a common vitamin B12‐binding function
We show that DUF4465 family proteins, widespread across bacteria from gut microbiomes, hydrothermal vents, and soil, share a common vitamin B12‐binding function. These augmented β‐jellyroll proteins bind vitamin B12 via extended loops. Our findings establish sequence‐diverse DUF4465 proteins as a widespread class of B12‐binding proteins, highlighting ...
