Multi‐view registration based on weighted LRS matrix decomposition of motions
Recently, the low‐rank and sparse (LRS) matrix decomposition has been introduced as an effective mean to solve the multi‐view registration. It views each available relative motion as a block element to reconstruct one sparse matrix, which then is used to

Identification of Successive “Unobservable” Cyber Data Attacks in Power Systems Through Matrix Decomposition [PDF]
This paper presents a new framework of identifying a series of cyber data attacks on power system synchrophasor measurements. We focus on detecting “unobservable” cyber data attacks that cannot be detected by any existing method that purely relies on ...

Numerical Matrix Decomposition
In 1954, Alston S. Householder published \textit{Principles of Numerical Analysis}, one of the first modern treatments on matrix decomposition that favored a (block) LU decomposition-the factorization of a matrix into the product of lower and upper triangular matrices.

Singular random matrix decompositions: distributions [PDF]
Assuming that Y has a singular matrix variate elliptically contoured distribution with respect to the Hausdorff measure, the distributions of several matrices associated to QR, modified QR, SV and Polar decompositions of matrix Y are determined, for central and non-central, non-singular and singular cases, as well as their relationship to the Wishart ...

Amplitude-Preserved Wave Equation: An Example to Image the Gas Hydrate System
Natural gas hydrate is an important energy source. Therefore, it is extremely important to provide a clear imaging profile to determine its distribution for energy exploration. In view of the problems existing in conventional migration methods, e.g., the

An Improved Traffic Matrix Decomposition Method with Frequency-Domain Regularization
We propose a novel network traffic matrix decomposition method named Stable Principal Component Pursuit with Frequency-Domain Regularization (SPCP-FDR), which improves the Stable Principal Component Pursuit (SPCP) method by using a frequency-domain noise

Matrix methods in decompositions of modules
AbstractMatrix methods of elementary linear algebra are extended to general direct-sum decompositions of modules. These methods are then shown to yield simple proofs of some well-known theorems, notably the Beck-Warfield “mutual exchange property” and the Krull-Schmidt theorem.

The utilization of direct energy deposition (DED)‐arc additive manufacturing processes in industrial applications is increasing, and these processes have the potential for multi‐material applications. This work provides a overview of the state of research in DED‐arc made functional graded structures, to establish a link to potential industrial ...
