On tau functions associated with linear systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
\noindent {\bf Abstract} This paper considers the Fredholm determinant $\det (I-\Gamma_x)$ of a Hankel integral operator on $L^2(0, \infty )$ with kernel $\phi (s+t+2x)$, where $\phi$ is a matrix scattering function.

Some relations on Humbert matrix polynomials [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
summary:The Humbert matrix polynomials were first studied by Khammash and Shehata (2012). Our goal is to derive some of their basic relations involving the Humbert matrix polynomials and then study several generating matrix functions, hypergeometric ...

Discrete Riccati matrix equation and the order preserving property

open access: yes, 2021
It is known that if a symmetric matrix differential equation has the order preserving property and the matrix dimension is at least 2, then this equation is the Riccati matrix differential equation (see A.N.

An Efficient Algorithm for the Reflexive Solution of the Quaternion Matrix Equation AXB+CXHD=F

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2013
We propose an iterative algorithm for solving the reflexive solution of the quaternion matrix equation AXB+CXHD=F. When the matrix equation is consistent over reflexive matrix X, a reflexive solution can be obtained within finite iteration steps in the ...

Pharmacological inhibition of the PERK pathway modulates hepatocellular carcinoma growth and immune signaling

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Pharmacological inhibition of PERK in a DEN‐induced mouse model of liver cancer does not reduce tumor burden but alters cellular stress signaling. Despite blocking PERK activity, downstream stress responses, including CHOP expression, remain active, suggesting compensatory mechanisms within the unfolded protein response that may influence tumor ...

Sylvester matrix equation for matrix pencils

open access: yes, 1996
We study a homogeneous linear matrix equation system related to the strict equivalence of matrix pencils. We obtain the dimension of the vector space of its solutions in terms of the invariants of the strict equivalence. We give a characterization of the

Early‐life high‐fat diet exposure increases Achilles tendon stiffness and induces transcriptomic alterations

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Early‐life exposure to a high‐fat diet altered intact Achilles tendons in rat offspring, making them thinner, stiffer, and molecularly distinct even without injury. These findings suggest that developmental high‐fat diet exposure may impair tendon quality and increase susceptibility to mechanical overload or tendon injury later in life.

On the discrete and continuous Miura chain associated with the sixth Painlev equation [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
A Miura chain is a (closed) sequence of differential (or difference) equations that are related by Miura or B\"acklund transformations. We describe such a chain for the sixth Painlev\'e equation (\pvi), containing, apart from \pvi itself, a Schwarzian ...

Time‐restricted feeding prior to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection reduces tissue CD4+ T cells with limited impact on bacterial clearance

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

An Iterative Algorithm for the Generalized Reflexive Solution of the Matrix Equations AXB=E, CXD=F

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2012
An iterative algorithm is constructed to solve the linear matrix equation pair AXB=E, CXD=F over generalized reflexive matrix X. When the matrix equation pair AXB=E, CXD=F is consistent over generalized reflexive matrix X, for any generalized reflexive ...
