Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Robust Pole Assignment via Sylvester Equation Based State Feedback Parametrization

open access: yes, 2000
By using a Sylvester equation based parametrization, the minimum norm robust pole assignment problem for linear time-invariant systems is formulated as an unconstrained minimization problem for a suitably chosen cost function.

Discrete Tracy--Widom operators. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Integrable operators arise in random matrix theory, where they describe the asymptotic eigenvalue distribution of large self-adjoint random matrices from the generalized unitary ensembles.

Solution for Matrix Equation AX-YB=C

open access: yes, 2019
The inverse of a matrix A can only exist if A is nonsingular. This is an important theorem in linear algebra, one learned in an introductory course. In recent years, needs have been felt in numerous areas of applied mathematics for some kind of inverse ...

Suppression of lung adenocarcinoma migration through organelle alkalization by human lactoferrin – albumin fusion

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Density matrix form of Gross-Pitaevskii equation

open access: yes, 2014
We consider the generalized pure state density matrix which depends on different time moments. The evolution equation for this density matrix is obtained in case where the density matrix corresponds to the solutions of Gross-Pitaevskii ...

Variable s-step CGNR method for solving the matrix equation AXB = C arising in image processing

open access: yesMathematical Modelling and Analysis
The matrix equation $ {AXB} = {C}$ is widely utilized in signal and image processing. In this paper, we present a variable s-step algorithm based on the CGNR method for solving this matrix equation by employing normalization techniques.

Nonrecursive solution for the discrete algebraic Riccati equation and X + A*X-1A=L

open access: yesOpen Mathematics, 2015
In this paper, we present two new algebraic algorithms for the solution of the discrete algebraic Riccati equation. The first algorithm requires the nonsingularity of the transition matrix and is based on the solution of a standard eigenvalue problem for

Derivation and characterization of retinal pigment epithelium from urine‐derived iPSCs

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Age‐related macular degeneration causes vision loss via RPE dysfunction and loss. Traditional iPSC therapies rely on invasive biopsies, limiting scalability. Here, we utilize urine‐derived stem cells as an accessible source to generate u‐iPSCs, successfully differentiated into pigmented RPE. This “Urine‐to‐Retina” platform provides a promising path for
