Variational principles, variational identities, and supervariational principles for wavefunctions

open access: yes, 1974
We develop variational principles and variational identities for bound state and continuum wavefunctions in a general context, paying particular attention to the proper choice of defining equations and boundary conditions which will lead to unique and ...

Anti-Commuting Solutions of the Yang-Baxter-Like Matrix Equation for Identity Matrix Minus Special Rank-Three Matrices

open access: yes
Suppose \( A=I-PQ^T, \) where both \( P \)and \( Q \) are \( n\times 3 \) complex matrices and det\( (Q^T P)\neq 0 \). By analyzing the Jordan canonical form of the coefficient matrix \( A, \) we find all the anti-commuting solutions \( X, \) which satisfy \( AX=-XA, \) of the Yang-Baxter-like matrix equation(YBME) \( AXA=XAX \).

GAD65 Antibody ELISA With Extended Reportable Range: Validation and Guidance for Neurological Practice

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To (1) validate GAD65‐ELISA detection and quantification for type 1 diabetes mellitus and autoimmune neurological diagnoses, (2) correlate ELISA results (reference range < 5 IU/mL) with established radioimmunoprecipitation assay (RIA; ≤ 0.02 nmol/L), and (3) define ELISA clinical utility and pitfalls.

On orthogonal polynomials and related discrete integrable systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
Orthogonal polynomials arise in many areas of mathematics and have been the subject of interest by many mathematicians. In recent years this interest has often arisen from outside the orthogonal polynomial community after their connection with ...

RNA Sequencing Resolves Cryptic Pathogenic Variants in Mitochondrial Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Mitochondrial diseases are the most common inherited metabolic disorders, characterized by pronounced clinical and genetic heterogeneity that complicates molecular diagnosis. Although DNA‐based sequencing approaches have become standard in genetic testing, up to half of patients remain without a definitive diagnosis.

On the Solutions of the Matrix Equation f(X,X*)=g(X,X*)

open access: yes, 1972
It is well known that the matrix identities XX*=I, X=X* and XX* = X*X, where X is a square matrix with complex elements, X* is the conjugate transpose of X and I is the identity matrix, characterize unitary, hermitian and normal matrices respectively ...

Comparative Effectiveness and Safety of Inebilizumab Versus Rituximab in AQP4‐IgG‐Positive NMOSD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rituximab (anti‐CD20, RTX) and inebilizumab (anti‐CD19, INE) represent B‐cell‐depleting therapies used for aquaporin‐4 antibody‐positive (AQP4‐IgG+) neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD); however, direct comparative evidence remains limited.

Plasma EV Proteomics Identifies ECM Remodeling and Inflammatory Proteins LUM and C7 as Candidate Biomarkers in FSHD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is one of the most debilitating and common muscular dystrophies. Despite its severity, no approved therapy exists for FSHD patients. However, several therapeutic candidates are currently under development, and some have recently entered clinical trials, marking the need for reliable ...
