Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

The companion equations and the moyal-nahm equations [PDF]
The first part of this thesis is concerned with the companion equations. These are equations of motion for the companion Lagrangian which is proposed to be the Lagrangian for a field theory associated with strings and branes, similar to the Klein-Gordon ...

Some identities deriving from the nth power of a special matrix
In this paper, we consider the Horadam sequence and some summation formulas involving the terms of the Horadam sequence. We derive combinatorial identities by using the trace, the determinant and the nth power of a special ...

Diffraction by an imperfect half plane in a bianisotropic medium [PDF]
A general theory to study the electromagnetic diffraction by imperfect half planes immersed in linear homogeneous bianisotropic media is presented.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Indefinite Hamiltonian systems whose Titchmarsh–Weyl coefficients have no finite generalized poles of non-positive type [PDF]
The two-dimensional Hamiltonian system (*) y'(x)=zJH(x)y(x), x∈(a,b), where the Hamiltonian H takes non-negative 2x2-matrices as values, and $J:= \begin{pmatrix} 0 & -1 \\ 1 & 0 \end{pmatrix}$, has attracted a lot of interest over the past decades ...

We consider generalized Melvin-like solutions associated with nonexceptional Lie algebras of rank 4 (namely, A4, B4, C4, and D4) corresponding to certain internal symmetries of the solutions.

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.
