Lagrangian structures and multidimensional consistency [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The conventional point of view is that the Lagrangian is a scalar object (or equivalently a volume form), which through the Euler-Lagrange equations provides us with one single equation (i.e., one per component of the dependent variable ...

Grammian-type determinant solutions to generalized KP and BKP equations

open access: yesComputers and Mathematics with Applications, 2017
Grammian-type determinant identities of the bilinear KP hierarchy and a useful property on the derivatives of Grammians are proposed. Based on these Grammian-type determinant identities, three Grammian structures are furnished to a large class of ...

A Givental-like formula and bilinear identities for tensor models [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A bstractIn this paper we express some simple random tensor models in a Givental-like fashion i.e. as differential operators acting on a product of generic 1-Hermitian matrix models. Finally we derive Hirota’s equations for these tensor models.

Somatic mutational landscape in von Hippel–Lindau familial hemangioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The causes of central nervous system (CNS) hemangioblastoma in Von Hippel–Lindau (vHL) disease are unclear. We used Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) on familial hemangioblastoma to investigate events that underlie tumor development. Our findings suggest that VHL loss creates a permissive environment for tumor formation, while additional alterations ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Integrable quantum field theories, in the bulk and with a boundary [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
In this thesis, we consider the massive field theories in 1+1 dimensions known as affine Toda quantum field theories. These have the special property that they possess an infinite number of conserved quantities, a feature which greatly simplifies their ...

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Generalized trigonometric identities and invariant imbedding

open access: yes, 1973
It is shown under weak hypotheses that systems of 2n linear differential equations in 2n variables generate sets of identities similar in structure to the classical trigonometric identities.

Stimulator of interferon genes agonist augmented antitumor immunity of osimertinib in Egfr‐mutated lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.
