Magnetic‐Field Control of Surface States in CoFe2O4 Thin Films for Nitrate Electroreduction to Ammonia

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Magnetic‐field‐assisted CVD of heterometallic single‐source precursors modulates thin‐film surface electronic structure and interfacial charge transfer. Field‐grown (Cobalt ferrite‐1T)CF‐1T films exhibit stabilized electronic states, lower kinetic barriers, and markedly enhanced nitrate‐to‐ammonia electrocatalysis versus (Cobalt ferrite‐0T) CF‐0T ...

Isolation and Characteristics of Matrix Vesicles

open access: yes, 2013
Mineralizing matrix vesicles (MVs) are extracellular organelles produced by chondrocytes, osteoblasts, and odontoblasts under physiological conditions and by vascular smooth muscle cells under pathological conditions. MVs are involved in the early stage of mineralization allowing calcium and phosphate to accumulate, and therefore providing an optimal ...

Matrix Isolation of Perfluorinated p-Benzyne

Angewandte Chemie - International Edition, 2001
As the first isolated derivative of 1,4-didehydrobenzene, 1,4-didehydro-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorobenzene (1) was generated from 1,4-diiodotetrafluorobenzene (2) by photolysis at 254 nm in a neon matrix at 3 K. The 4-iodo-2,3,5,6-tetrafluorophenyl radical 3 is formed as an intermediate in this reaction.

Matrix Effects in Matrix Isolation Infrared Spectroscopy

Applied Spectroscopy, 1989
A major factor limiting extensive use of matrix isolation gas chromatography-Fourier transform infrared spectrometry is the incompatibility of matrix-isolated spectra with available vapor- or condensed-phase spectral data bases. Here, matrix and surface effects on matrix isolation infrared spectra of organic molecules are investigated. Use of xenon at −
