Quantum states of dark solitons in the 1D Bose gas

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2016
We present a series of quantum states that are characterized by dark solitons of the nonlinear Schrödinger equation (i.e. the Gross–Pitaevskii equation) for the one-dimensional Bose gas interacting through the repulsive delta-function potentials.

The general integrable inhomogeneous Dirac–Manakov equations: Darboux-dressing transformation and N-soliton solutions

open access: yesNuclear Physics B
By means of the zero-curvature equation and two sets of Lenard recursion sequences, we construct a nonisospectral generalized 3 × 3 Ablowitz–Kaup–Newell–Segur (AKNS) integrable hierarchy.

A Matrix Integrable Enlargement of the DNLS Soliton Hierarchy Incorporating Two Diagonal Matrix Blocks

open access: yesMathematics
This paper presents a four-component integrable extension of the derivative nonlinear Schrödinger (DNLS) soliton hierarchy, namely, the Kaup–Newell hierarchy of soliton equations. Motivated by a general extension idea for the Kaup–Newell spectral matrix,

Estimation of the Attraction Domain for the Quantum Systems Based on the Schrödinger Equation

open access: yesAxioms
This paper investigates a quantum system described by the Schrödinger equation, utilizing the concept of the quantum Lyapunov function. The Lyapunov function is chosen based on the mean value of a virtual mechanical quantity, where different values of P,

Painlevé-Type Asymptotics for n-Component Coupled Higher-Order Nonlinear Schrödinger Equation in Transition Region

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we investigate the long-term asymptotic behavior of solutions to the Cauchy problem for the n-component coupled higher-order nonlinear Schrödinger (nC-HNLS) equation on a line with decaying initial data.

A Real Four-Component Integrable Extension of the Standard Kaup–Newell Hierarchy with Two Diagonal Blocks

open access: yesAxioms
This paper aims to introduce a real four-component integrable extension of the complex Kaup–Newell soliton hierarchy. Following a general idea for extending the standard Kaup–Newell spectral matrix, we propose a specific matrix eigenvalue problem ...

Optical solitons and their propagations in a time-varying coefficient modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation with non-zero boundary conditions via Riemann–Hilbert method

open access: yesResults in Physics
In this article, a time-varying coefficient modified nonlinear Schrödinger equation (tvcmNLSE) with non-zero boundary conditions (NZBCs) at infinity, phase term of which contains time-varying coefficients, is proposed to describe the nonlinear ...

Supervised machine learning prediction and investigation of nonlinear optical rectification in Ge/Si0.15Ge0.85 asymmetric coupled triangle quantum wells

open access: yesResults in Engineering
Nonlinear optical rectification (NOR) is a fundamental process in the design and engineering of photonic devices. Predicting the NOR coefficient in the Ge/Si0.15Ge 0.85 asymmetric double triangle quantum wells (ADTQWs) structures contributes ...
