Using Platelet-Rich Fibrin to Remove Graphite Tattoos May Yield Excellent Long-Term Result [PDF]
Graphite tattoos are rarely reported because they are mainly caused by an accidental injury or habits during childhood that cause a pencil to penetrate the oral mucosa.

In this paper we address the issue of output-feedback robust control for a class of feedforward nonlinear systems. Essentially different from the related literature, the feedback/input signals are corrupted by additive noises and can only be transmitted ...

Matrix pencils and entanglement classification [PDF]
Quantum entanglement plays a central role in quantum information processing. A main objective of the theory is to classify different types of entanglement according to their interconvertibility through manipulations that do not require additional entanglement to perform.

Hilbert’s 17th problem in free skew fields
This paper solves the rational noncommutative analogue of Hilbert’s 17th problem: if a noncommutative rational function is positive semidefinite on all tuples of Hermitian matrices in its domain, then it is a sum of Hermitian squares of noncommutative ...

$D$-Stratification and Hierarchy Graphs of the Space of Order 2 and 3 Matrix Pencils
Small changes in the entries of a matrix pencil may lead to important changes in its Kronecker normal form. Studies about the effect of small perturbations have been made when considering the stratification associated with the strict equivalence between ...

Generalized trace pseudo-spectrum of matrix pencils
The objective of the study was to investigate a new notion of generalized trace pseudo-spectrum for an matrix pencils. In particular, we prove many new interesting properties of the generalized trace pseudo-spectrum.

Positivity and Asymptotic Stability of Descriptor Linear Systems with Regular Pencils
The positivity and asymptotic stability of the descriptor linear continuous-time and discrete-time systems with regular pencils are addressed. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the positivity and asymptotic stability of the systems are established ...

Definitizable hermitian matrix pencils
The paper presents three characterizations of strongly definitizable pencils, which generalize the classical results for definite pencils. They are in particular stably simultaneously diagonable. Also this form of stability is discussed with respect to an open subset of the real line. Implications for some quadratic eigenvalue problems are included.
