Thermal pure quantum matrix product states recovering a volume law entanglement

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2021
We propose a way to construct a thermal pure quantum matrix product state (TPQ-MPS) that can simulate finite-temperature quantum many-body systems with a minimal numerical cost comparable to the matrix product algorithm for the ground state.

Matrix product state recursion methods for computing spectral functions of strongly correlated quantum systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We present a method for extrapolation of real-time dynamical correlation functions which can improve the capability of matrix product state methods to compute spectral functions.

Numerical evaluation of two-time correlation functions in open quantum systems with matrix product state methods: a comparison [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
We compare the efficiency of different matrix product state (MPS) based methods for the calculation of two-time correlation functions in open quantum systems. The methods are the purification approach [1] and two approaches [2,3] based on the Monte-Carlo

Scalar one-point functions and matrix product states of AdS/dCFT

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2018
We determine in a closed form all scalar one-point functions of the defect CFT dual to the D3–D5 probe brane system with k units of flux which amounts to calculating the overlap between a Bethe eigenstate of the integrable SO(6) spin chain and a certain ...

Integrable boundary states from maximal giant gravitons in ABJM theory

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2023
We investigate the integrability of the boundary state arising from the subdeterminant operators in the alternating SU(4) spin chain in ABJM theory. Our findings show that the resulting matrix product states are only integrable for two special giant ...

Continuous matrix product state tomography of quantum transport experiments

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2015
In recent years, a close connection between the description of open quantum systems, the input–output formalism of quantum optics, and continuous matrix product states (cMPS) in quantum field theory has been established.

A non-integrable quench from AdS/dCFT

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2019
We study the matrix product state which appears as the boundary state of the AdS/dCFT set-up where a probe D7 brane wraps two two-spheres stabilized by fluxes.
