In this study is aimed to present Imam Maturidi (d. 333/944), one of the most remarkable Muslim world’s figures, and his commentary called Ta’wilat al-Qur’an, which is his most important book on the Holy Qur’an. It is also tried to determine his and its place in the history of Qur’anic commentary.
