Cytodifferentiation of maturing pine tracheids: The final stage
Tissue and Cell, 1972Abstract The natural process of autolysis of protoplasm terminating the maturation of xylem tracheids starts with the formation of cytoplasmic spherules and the breakdown of cytoplasmic bridges which maintain the unity of the intravacuolar lamellate and filamentous reticulum of cytoplasm immersed in vacuolar sap.

Determination of Maturity Stages of Oocytes
2016In this chapter the brief and concise information on the final oocyte maturation process in Eurasian perch are given which allows to understand the possible hatchery-related factors determining egg quality. Moreover, specific cases and possible reasons of the disruption of final oocyte maturation are described and illustrated.

Mature, Exit, and Rebirth Stages
2016Once a company has reached the mature stage in its development, the company should take the opportunity to fill in any gaps in their intellectual property portfolio. For example, the company should file for the trademarks that are necessary to round out the company’s product line and should file the patent applications that are necessary for the ...

Enamel mineralization in the absence of maturation stage ameloblasts
Archives of Oral Biology, 2009The role of maturation stage ameloblasts is not clear yet. The aim of this study was to verify to which extent enamel mineralizes in the absence of these cells. Maturation stage ameloblasts and adjacent dental follicle cells from rat lower incisors were surgically removed and the limits of this removal were marked by notches made in the enamel ...

CAN MATURATION ARREST OCCUR AT THE STAGE OF SPERMIOGENESIS?
Archives of Andrology, 2001This article attempts to clarify the pathological condition during which the maturation of the germinal epithelium is unable to evolve beyond a certain stage and is characterized as maturation arrest. Emphasis is given to the histological entity named spermiogenic arrest.

Proteomics of Secretory-Stage and Maturation-Stage Enamel of Genetically Distinct Mice
Caries Research, 2016The mechanisms by which excessive ingestion of fluoride (F) during amelogenesis leads to dental fluorosis (DF) are still not precisely known. Inbred strains of mice vary in their susceptibility to develop DF, and therefore permit the investigation of underlying molecular events influencing DF severity.

Phenolic Composition of Strawberry Genotypes at Different Maturation Stages
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, 2004The effects of maturation (green, pink, and ripe) on phenolic composition of strawberry cultivars Camarosa, Dorit, Chandler, and Osmanli and their hybrids were investigated using a high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC) method. p-Hydroxybenzoic acid, p-coumaric acid, ellagic acid, cyanidin-3-glucoside, pelargonidin-3-glucoside, kaempferol ...

Stages of textural maturity in sedimentary rocks
Journal of Sedimentary Research, 1951ABSTRACT Four stages of textural maturity in sediments are defined by the occurrence of three sequential events (1) removal of clays, (2) sorting of the sand fraction, and (3) attainment of high roundness. A binomial terminology is introduced wherein the term denoting textural maturity is prefixed to the rock-composition name, obtained from the ...
