Robust CDF‐Filtering of a Location Parameter

open access: yesJournal of Time Series Analysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper introduces a novel framework for designing robust filters associated with signal plus noise models having symmetric observation density. The filters are obtained by a recursion where the innovation term is a transform of the cumulative distribution function of the residuals.

Measure‐valued processes for energy markets

open access: yesMathematical Finance, Volume 35, Issue 2, Page 520-566, April 2025.
Abstract We introduce a framework that allows to employ (non‐negative) measure‐valued processes for energy market modeling, in particular for electricity and gas futures. Interpreting the process' spatial structure as time to maturity, we show how the Heath–Jarrow–Morton approach can be translated to this framework, thus guaranteeing arbitrage free ...

The fundamental theorem of asset pricing with and without transaction costs

open access: yesMathematical Finance, Volume 35, Issue 2, Page 567-609, April 2025.
Abstract We prove a version of the fundamental theorem of asset pricing (FTAP) in continuous time that is based on the strict no‐arbitrage condition and that is applicable to both frictionless markets and markets with proportional transaction costs. We consider a market with a single risky asset whose ask price process is higher than or equal to its ...

Strategic Deconfliction of 4D Trajectory and Perturbation Analysis for Air Traffic Control and Automation System

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2016
Strategic 4D trajectory conflict-free planning is recognized as one of the core technologies of next-generation air traffic control and automation systems. To resolve potential conflicts during strategic 4D conflict-free trajectory planning, a protection-

Equilibrium Reward for Liquidity Providers in Automated Market Makers

open access: yesMathematical Finance, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We find the equilibrium contract that an automated market maker (AMM) offers to their strategic liquidity providers (LPs) in order to maximize the order flow that gets processed by the venue. Our model is formulated as a leader–follower stochastic game, where the venue is the leader and a representative LP is the follower.

Contractionary Effects of Devaluation and the Balance Sheet Effect in a Macroeconomic Model With Heterogeneous Firms

open access: yesMetroeconomica, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We propose a demand‐led heterogeneous firm macroeconomic model to study the impact of an exchange rate devaluation on output and financial stability. We simulate the model and find that, in the presence of foreign debt, a devaluation can have contractionary effects.

Identify Solutions to Systems of Linear Latin for Square Equations over Maxmin-ω

open access: yesJambura Journal of Mathematics
Maxmin-\omega algebra is a mathematical system that generalizes maxmin algebra by introducing the parameter \omega (0 \omega \leq 1), which regulates the algebraic operations to enhance its applicability in optimization and decision-making processes ...

The Natural Components of a Regular Linear System

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The analysis of a finite‐dimensional regular linear system may be simplified by separating the system into its natural components. The natural components are smaller linear systems on separate subspaces whose dimensions sum to the dimension of the original linear system.

The Mathematical History Behind the Granger–Johansen Representation Theorem

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT When can a vector time series that is integrated once (i.e., becomes stationary after taking first differences) be described in error correction form? The answer to this is provided by the Granger–Johansen representation theorem. From a mathematical point of view, the theorem can be viewed as essentially a statement concerning the geometry of ...
