De-composition in popular Elizabethan playtexts : A revalidation of the multiple version of Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet [PDF]
The aim of this article is to establish some premises for comparing the transmission of playtexts of the early modern stage with the transmission of folk material. My central question is whether playtexts and ballad and tale texts "de-compose" in similar

La « simplexité » des contes [PDF]
The tale is not just a linear, sober narrative, but a clever combination of a diegesis of a certain type, a network of images and an implicit philosophy. This is where it differs from both the short story and the fable. As a literary genre, it is less of

We investigated the effects of food availability (personal information) and conspecific vocalization (social information) on habitat selection of the Wryneck Jynx torquilla. Both personal and social information seem to affect Wryneck habitat selection behaviour. Nevertheless, habitat quality, and in particular food availability, is more important and a

ABSTRACT There is growing evidence in humans linking the temporal coupling between spindles and slow oscillations during NREM sleep with the overnight stabilization of memories encoded from daytime experiences in humans. However, whether the type and strength of learning influence that relationship is still unknown. Here we tested whether the amount or

Photonic crystal-driven spectral concentration for upconversion photovoltaics [PDF]
International audienceThe main challenge for applying upconversion (UC) to silicon photovoltaics is the limited amount of solar energy harvested directly via erbium-based upconverter materials (24.5 W m(-2)).

We use an innovative Smart tracker combined with remotely sensed velocity data to compare the velocity of two adjacent soft‐bedded Icelandic glaciers. They have distinct subglacial hydrologies due to differences in meltwater flux, subglacial transmissivity and the presence of a deep proglacial lagoon.

Robust future changes in temperature variability under greenhouse gas forcing and the relationship with thermal advection [PDF]
Recent temperature extremes have highlighted the importance of assessing projected changes in the variability of temperature as well as the mean. A large fraction of present day temperature variance is associated with thermal advection, as anomalous ...
