Advances in research on layered double hydroxides for biomedical applications

open access: yesSmart Molecules, EarlyView.
Layered double hydroxides (LDHs) are pH‐responsive nanomaterials with broad biomedical applications. This review summarizes LDH synthesis methods and compares their advantages. It highlights LDHs' progress in cancer therapy, including chemo‐photothermal, chemo‐immunotherapy, and photodynamic‐immunotherapy combinations and their potential in bone repair.

Sustainable and Programmable Hydrogels for Bone Regeneration: A Perspective on Green Synthesis and Precision Fabrication

open access: yesSusMat, EarlyView.
The clinical translation of natural hydrogels is often hindered by a fundamental conflict. Green synthesis prioritizes biosafety through mild and non‐toxic conditions, whereas precision manufacturing demands mechanical robustness and structural fidelity.

Progress in bone tissue engineering biomaterials: Development, challenges, and prospects

open access: yesVIEW, EarlyView.
Scheme 1 Application of biomaterials in immunomodulation during bone tissue engineering. Abstract Bone defect repair remains a major clinical challenge in orthopedics. Over 2 million cases caused by trauma, tumors, and other factors occur annually, with large‐scale defects posing a particular bottleneck due to limited self‐healing capacity.
