Patient‐derived cardiac organoids reveal key features of Duchenne muscular dystrophy cardiomyopathy, including apoptosis, oxidative stress, calcium handling defects, and mechanical remodeling. By integrating organoids into alginate–gelatin bioprinted constructs, disease phenotypes are organized into scalable 3D cardiac tissues displaying extracellular ...

This work presents ARC‐3D, a soft 3D model that recreates how brain support cells, called astrocytes, react to oxidative stress. The system visualizes rapid calcium changes and inflammatory signals, and shows how the drug KDS12025 can protect cells from damage. ARC‐3D offers a simple, reliable way to study early drivers of brain inflammation.

Association between insulin resistance, lean mass and muscle torque/force in proximal versus distal body parts in healthy young men [PDF]
Objectives:The purpose of this study was to investigate whether there is already an association of insulin resistance (IR) with muscle mass and –force/torque in an adult population and whether this relationship is the same in distal and proximal body ...

Effect of habitual dietary carbohydrate on maximal fat oxidation in active but untrained humans
Changes in macronutrient intake has been linked to specific changes in rates of fat oxidation. However previous work has typically employed short duration interventions ranging from a couple of days to weeks.
