Noise‐Limited Bit Precision in Ferroelectric Synaptic Transistors for High‐Resolution Neuromorphic Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐frequency noise spectroscopy defines the resolvable conductance states of synaptic FeFETs by coupling read‐current fluctuation with usable dynamic range. The resulting noise‐limited bit precision establishes a universal, device‐agnostic reliability metric beyond the memory window, enabling quantitative benchmarking and rational design of high ...

An Edible Chitosan‐Based Acoustic Sensor for Sound‐Responsive Actuation in Edible Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study introduces an edible acoustic sensor for robotic food and edible robotics. Built from a chitosan piezoelectric film between gold electrodes, the sensor enables acoustic communication through ON/OFF keying. Integrated into an edible robot with pneumatically actuated arms and neck, it responds to high‐frequency tones.

Coordinated Architectural and Chemical Reinforcement in the Crushing Mandible of a Soldier Termite

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The crushing mandible of a soldier termite withstands substantial biting loads despite lacking mineral. Its cuticle is partitioned: convex teeth pair hardness and zinc enrichment with aligned chitin fibers for contact durability, while stiffer concave regions between teeth carry bending loads.

Relationship of maximum bite force with craniofacial morphology, body mass and height in an Iraqi adults with different types of malocclusion

open access: yesJournal of Baghdad College of Dentistry, 2014
Background: Information concerning the maximum bite force in human population is important to clinical orthodontics. Additionally, the influence of bite force on the vertical stability of any treatment result is important.

Memristive‐Gated RC‐Delay Synaptic Transistors for Time‐Encoded Analog in‐Memory Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A Memristive‐Gated Transistor for Time‐Encoded Analog In‐Memory Computing — By exploiting the RC delay of a self‐rectifying interface‐type memristor, nonlinear I–V distortion is structurally bypassed, enabling 3‐bit nonvolatile memory, spike‐timing‐based analog encoding, and hardware‐calibrated reservoir‐computing validation within a unified device ...

Sex-specific aging in bite force in a wild vertebrate.

open access: yes, 2021
These documents contain data used to model variation in Nazca booby bite force by age, sex, and morphological measurements (Rebol & Anderson, in review, Biology Letters 2021). These data are organized in an Excel workbook, “Rebol_Anderson_Data”. Analyses

Bite force determination in children with primary

open access: yes, 2015
The aim of this study was to determine the bite force with primary dentition in 30 children with normal occlusion (group I), cross bite (group II) and open bite (group III). The magnitude of the bite force was determined through a pressurized transmitter
