The process of internalization of the Shiga toxin A subunit via formation of a complex with the Shiga toxin B subunit, which specifically binds to the Gb3 receptor. The peptide is designed to act as a carrier of drugs into cancer cells. Here, we explored the potential of peptides derived from the catalytic A subunit of Shiga toxin (STxA) to be drug ...

On the Spectral Radius of the Maximum Degree Matrix of Graphs
Let G be a graph with n vertices, and let dG(u) denote the degree of vertex u in G. The maximum degree matrix MG of G is the square matrix of order n whose (u,v)-entry is equal to maxdG(u),dG(v) if vertices u and v are adjacent in G, and zero otherwise ...

The mycobacterial CIII‐CIV respiratory supercomplex is an obligate assembly, encompassing several subunits of unknown functions. We have characterized the intracellular subunit AscF, and show that it is unlikely to be a sensor for metals or nucleotides, but is required for growth on nonfermentable energy sources, and likely works as an adapter for ...

Mostar index and bounded maximum degree
Došlić et al. defined the Mostar index of a graph $G$ as $Mo(G)=\sum\limits_{uv\in E(G)}|n_G(u,v)-n_G(v,u)|$, where, for an edge $uv$ of $G$, the term $n_G(u,v)$ denotes the number of vertices of $G$ that have a smaller distance in $G$ to $u$ than to $v$.

Identification of the plant mitochondrial OrfX protein: A mass spectrometry approach
The mitochondrial genome of plants contains an open reading frame, orfx, which encodes a rare protein that has so far escaped mass spectrometric detection. The protein resembles the c‐subunit of bacterial twin‐arginine‐motif‐dependent protein translocases (TatC).

Partition of graphs with maximum degree ratio
Given a graph $G$ and a non trivial partition $(V_1,V_2)$ of its vertex-set, the satisfaction of a vertex $v\in V_i$ is the ratio between the size of it's closed neighborhood in $V_i$ and the size of its closed neighborhood in $G$. The worst ratio over all the vertices defines the quality of the partition.

An epithelial GPR35 isoform supports tumor‐associated transcriptional and metabolic phenotypes
GPR35 generates two functionally distinct isoforms with previously unresolved roles. GPR35‐short mediates immune‐cell chemotaxis, while GPR35‐long is enriched in colorectal cancer epithelium, where it supports increased metabolism, proliferation, and tumor‐associated transcriptional programs.
