Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Maximum flow in road networks with speed-dependent capacities – application to Bangkok traffic [PDF]

open access: yesSongklanakarin Journal of Science and Technology (SJST), 2013
A road network can be modeled as a graph with a set of nodes representing intersections and a set of weighted edgesrepresenting road segments between intersections.

Symbolic Regression and Multi‐Objective Optimization of the Flory–Huggins Interaction Parameter for Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a data‐driven method to derive the mathematical expressions of the Flory–Huggins interaction parameter χ for the swelling behavior of temperature–responsive hydrogels. Starting from initial assumptions of χ, our workflow combines Bayesian optimization, Flory–Rehner theory, and symbolic regression to generate candidate χ expressions.

Lot streaming and batch scheduling: splitting and grouping jobs to improve production efficiency

open access: yes, 2001
This thesis deals with issues arising in manufacturing, in particular related to production efficiency. Lot streaming refers to the process of splitting jobs to move production through several stages as quickly as possible, whereas batch scheduling ...

Microstructure‐Controlled Crack Propagation and Fracture Resistance in MoSiBTiC Alloy Revealed by Multiscale Extended Finite Element Method Modeling

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐dimensional multiscale finite element analysis framework was established for the first‐generation MoSiBTiC alloy, and the mechanical and fracture‐related parameters of the constituent phases were calibrated through experiments and simulations. The framework provides a basis for analyzing crack propagation behavior in its complex microstructure ...

Optimization of the Production of Rubber Compounds Using Mathematical Models

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Rubber compounds were mixed in a batch internal mixer, and symbolic regression was used to derive mathematical models linking recipe and process parameters to ram path, torque, and mixing quality (incorporation, dispersion, distribution). Subsequent optimization with evolutionary algorithms identified operating conditions that reduce specific energy ...

Workflow for Design of Experiments‐Based Modeling of Species Transport and Growth Kinetics in GaN Hydride Vapor Phase Epitaxy

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel workflow for investigating hydride vapor phase epitaxy for GaN bulk crystal growth is proposed. It combines Design of experiments (DoE) with physical simulations of mass transport and crystal growth kinetics, serving as an intermediate step between DoE and experiments.

Research on multiflow in wireless networks based on network coding

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2013
In a multihop wireless network, wireless interference is crucial to the multi-commodity flow problem, which studies the maximum throughput between multiple pairs of sources and sinks.Based on the observation that network coding (NC) could help to decrease ...

The multiroute maximum flow problem revisited

open access: yes, 2005
We are given a directed network G = (V, A, u) with vertex set V, arc set A, a source vertex s ∈ V, a destination vertex t ∈ V, a finite capacity vector u = {uij}ij∈A, and a positive integer m ∈ Z+.
