Distributed maximum power point tracking in wind micro-grids

open access: yesIngeniería, 2012
With the aim of reducing the hardware requirements in micro-grids based on wind generators, a distributed maximum power point tracking algorithm is proposed.

Maximum power point tracking for variable-speed fixed-pitch small wind turbines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Variable-speed, fixed-pitch wind turbines are required to optimize power output performance without the aerodynamic controls. A wind turbine generator system is operated such that the optimum points of wind rotor curve and electrical generator curve ...

Pre‐analytical optimization of cell‐free DNA and extracellular vesicle‐derived DNA for mutation detection in liquid biopsies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pre‐analytical handling critically determines liquid biopsy performance. This study defines practical best‐practice conditions for cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and extracellular vesicle–derived DNA (evDNA), showing how processing time, storage conditions, tube type, and plasma input volume affect DNA integrity and mutation detection.

Comparison between the conventional methods and PSO based MPPT algorithm for photovoltaic systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Since the output characteristics of photovoltaic (PV) system depends on the ambient temperature, solar radiation and load impedance, its maximum power point (MPP) is not constant. Under each condition PV module has a point at which it can produce its MPP.

Constraints on Extragalactic Point Source Flux from Diffuse Neutrino Limits

open access: yes, 2009
We constrain the maximum flux from extragalactic neutrino point sources by using diffuse neutrino flux limits. We show that the maximum flux from extragalactic point sources is E^2(dN/dE) < 1.4 x 10^-9 (L_nu/2x10^43 erg/s)^1/3 GeV cm-^2 s^-1 from ...

Low-cost global MPPT scheme for photovoltaic systems under partially shaded conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is a technique applied to improve the efficiency of power conversion in Photovoltaic (PV) systems. Under partially shadowed conditions, the Power-Voltage (P-V) characteristic exhibits multiple peaks and the existing ...

A rapid solution for the maximum loading point of a power system

open access: yesElectrical Engineering in Japan, 1993
AbstractThis paper presents a new solution method for computing the maximum loading point of a bulk power system under the condition where the loads of the nodes can be parameterized by a scalar which is the loading level of the system.A special loading model, in which the loading level of the system depends on the voltage magnitude of a loading node ...

CCDC80 suppresses high‐grade serous ovarian cancer migration via negative regulation of B7‐H3

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PAX8 is a lineage‐specific master regulator of transcription in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSC) progression. We show for the first time that PAX8 facilitates proliferation and metastasis by repressing the cell autonomous tumor suppressor CCDC80 and inducing B7‐H3 expression.

Maximum Power Point Tracker Shaded Condition

open access: yes, 2022

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.
