Targeted review of the maximum residue levels (MRLs) for dimethomorph

open access: yesEFSA Journal
Abstract In accordance with Article 43 of Regulation (EC) No 396/2005, the European Commission requested EFSA to perform a targeted risk assessment for dimethomorph considering the residue definition and the toxicological reference values (TRVs) derived during the renewal of the approval of dimethomorph and the most recent version of the EFSA ...

ATF4‐mediated stress response as a therapeutic vulnerability in chordoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We screened 5 chordoma cell lines against 100+ inhibitors of epigenetic and metabolic pathways and kinases and identified halofuginone, a tRNA synthetase inhibitor. Mechanistically halofuginone induces an integrated stress response, with eIF2alpha phosphorylation, activation of ATF4 and its target genes CHOP, ASNS, INHBE leading to cell death ...

Cell surface interactome analysis identifies TSPAN4 as a negative regulator of PD‐L1 in melanoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using cell surface proximity biotinylation, we identified tetraspanin TSPAN4 within the PD‐L1 interactome of melanoma cells. TSPAN4 negatively regulates PD‐L1 expression and lateral mobility by limiting its interaction with CMTM6 and promoting PD‐L1 degradation.

Setting of a temporary maximum residue level for chlorantraniliprole in hops

open access: yesEFSA Journal, 2016
In accordance with the Article 53 of the Regulation (EC) 1107/2009, the United Kingdom granted a 120‐day emergency authorisation for the use of chlorantraniliprole in hops following an application by the British Hop Association.

Statistical properties of contact vectors

open access: yes, 2001
We study the statistical properties of contact vectors, a construct to characterize a protein's structure. The contact vector of an N-residue protein is a list of N integers n_i, representing the number of residues in contact with residue i.

LDAcoop: Integrating non‐linear population dynamics into the analysis of clonogenic growth in vitro

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Limiting dilution assays (LDAs) quantify clonogenic growth by seeding serial dilutions of cells and scoring wells for colony formation. The fraction of negative wells is plotted against cells seeded and analyzed using the non‐linear modeling of LDAcoop.

Eigenvector Centrality Distribution for Characterization of Protein Allosteric Pathways

open access: yes, 2018
Determining the principal energy pathways for allosteric communication in biomolecules, that occur as a result of thermal motion, remains challenging due to the intrinsic complexity of the systems involved.
