Aqueous Two‐Phase Bioinks for Discrete Packing and Compartmentalization of 3D Bioprinted Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Aqueous two‐phase systems (ATPS) enable the formation of biomimetic interfaces crucial for tissue engineering. However, clinical translation remains limited by the challenge of precisely controlling cellular compartmentalization. Here, we developed ATPS biomaterial inks for 3D bioprinting allowing tuneable droplet formation via NaCl modulation.

Analytical Modeling of Magnetic Field Distribution at No Load for Surface Mounted Permanent Magnet Machines

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
This paper presents an analytical study of the air-gap magnetic field of a Surface Permanent Magnet (SPM) linear machine under no load. By means of the method of images, the complex expression of the magnetic field of a conductor, inside the air gap ...

A New Unified Theory of Electromagnetic and Gravitational Interactions

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper we present a new unified theory of electromagnetic and gravitational interactions. By considering a four-dimensional spacetime as a hypersurface embedded in a five-dimensional bulk spacetime, we derive the complete set of field equations in

Electromagnetic field correlators, Maxwell stress tensor, and the Casimir effect for parallel walls [PDF]

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Physics, 2005
We evaluate the quantum electromagnetic field correlators associated with the electromagnetic vacuum distorted by the presence of two plane parallel conducting walls and in the presence of a conducting wall parallel to a perfectly magnetically permeable one. Regularization is performed through the generalized zeta funtion technique. Results are applied

Topology and Material Optimization in Ultra‐Soft Magneto‐Active Structures: Making Advantage of Residual Anisotropies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...

Thermodynamically stable asymptotically flat hairy black holes with a dilaton potential

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2019
We present a detailed analysis of the thermodynamics of exact asymptotically flat hairy black holes in Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton theory. We compute the regularized action, quasilocal stress tensor, and conserved charges by using a ‘counterterm method ...

Force calculation in electromagnetic devices [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
In this paper the authors show how the Maxwell stress tensor can be used, in practice, in order to determine local magnetic forces distribution in an electromagnetic system.

Positively Charged Polymer‐Brush MOFs for Large‐Area, Pressure‐Resistant Gas Separation Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A universal POPA strategy enables positively charged polymer‐brush MOFs with self‐adaptive interfacial interlocking to resist aggregation under fast processing. This design ensures seamless dispersion within large‐area selective layers, achieving 1 m‐wide roll‐to‐roll fabrication of pressure‐resistant MMCMs with tunable CO2 separation performance ...

Regularized Stress Tensor of Vector Fields in de Sitter Space

open access: yesUniverse
We study the Stueckelberg field in de Sitter space, which is a massive vector field with the gauge fixing (GF) term 12ζ(Aμ;μ)2. We obtain the vacuum stress tensor, which consists of the transverse, longitudinal, temporal, and GF parts, and each contains ...
