It is useful to explore the strategy of soil–crop management by introducing rhizobacteria to regulate plant ethylene signal and then benefit sustainable agriculture. Localized nutrient supply can enhance maize root proliferation, but also increase root ethylene production. The rhizobacteria containing ACC deaminase (V.

The risk of radiation‐induced heart damage (RIHD) is a growing concern since recent advances in radiation therapy (RT) for cancer treatments have significantly improved the number of survivors. Radiation‐induced myocardial fibrosis (RIMF) is the final pathological condition of RIHD and main change leading to serious cardiovascular complications ...

Among the abiotic stresses, drought is the first environmental stress responsible for a decrease in agricultural production worldwide; it affects plants in various ways, including slowing down plant growth and disrupting its general physiology. Arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis and plant growth‐promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are considered to be the ...

Medical-dosimetry registry of workers at the 'Mayak' production association
Characteristics for workers hired to main plants of Mayak PA in 1948–1982 are presented. Extended registry includes 22,347 individuals. As of 31.12.2000, vital status has been ascertained for 92% of cohort members, of which 37% died. External gamma-exposure doses are known for 83% of cohort members; the average value of external exposure dose is 0.7 Gy.

A review of job-exposure matrix methodology for application to workers exposed to radiation from internally deposited plutonium or other radioactive materials [PDF]
Any potential health effects of radiation emitted from radionuclides deposited in the bodies of workers exposed to radioactive materials can be directly investigated through epidemiological studies.

Risk of death from circulatory diseases in a cohort of patients exposed to chronic radiation [PDF]
Aim. To assess mortality from circulatory diseases (CD) in a cohort of workers exposed occupationally to chronic radiation in relation to external and internal exposure, by taking into account known non-radiation risk factors (RFs), such as smoking ...

Risk of lung cancer mortality in nuclear workers from internal exposure to alpha particle-emitting radionuclides [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Carcinogenic risks of internal exposures to alpha-emitters (except radon) are poorly understood. Since exposure to alpha particles-particularly through inhalation-occurs in a range of settings, understanding consequent risks is a public ...
