NKL homeobox gene activities in normal and malignant myeloid cells.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2019
Recently, we have documented a hematopoietic NKL-code mapping physiological expression patterns of NKL homeobox genes in early hematopoiesis and in lymphopoiesis, which spotlights genes deregulated in lymphoid malignancies.

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.

MDS, Hermitian almost MDS, and Gilbert–Varshamov quantum codes from generalized monomial-Cartesian codes

open access: yesQuantum Information Processing
AbstractWe construct new stabilizer quantum error-correcting codes from generalized monomial-Cartesian codes. Our construction uses an explicitly defined twist vector, and we present formulas for the minimum distance and dimension. Generalized monomial-Cartesian codes arise from polynomials inmvariables.

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Research on Fault Tolerance Enhancement of Array Erasure Codes

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
Array erasure coding technology is one of the most desirable methods to enhance the reliability of storage systems, but fault tolerance is always the bottleneck to the use of array codes. There are several improvement schemes for fault tolerance of array

Molecular dynamics simulations of positively selected codons in FcγRI reveal novel biochemical binding properties

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Research on fractional repetition codes based on group divisible designs

open access: yesTongxin xuebao, 2015
A novel design of FR (fractional repetition) codes was proposed which aims at providing efficient repair at the minimum bandwidth regenerating point. The design consisted of an outer MDS (maximum distance separable) code and an inner repetition code ...

Hospital Readmission After Traumatic Brain Injury Hospitalization in Community‐Dwelling Older Adults

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To examine the risk of hospital readmission after an index hospitalization for TBI in older adults. Methods Using data from the Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) study, we used propensity score matching of individuals with an index TBI‐related hospitalization to individuals with (1) non‐TBI hospitalizations (primary analysis)

Remote Monitoring in Myasthenia Gravis: Exploring Symptom Variability

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare, autoimmune disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness and potential life‐threatening crises. While continuous specialized care is essential, access barriers often delay timely interventions. To address this, we developed MyaLink, a telemedical platform for MG patients.
