A hemodynamic analysis of energy loss in abdominal aortic aneurysm using three-dimension idealized model

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology
Objective: The aim of this study is to perform specific hemodynamic simulations of idealized abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) models with different diameters, curvatures and eccentricities and evaluate the risk of thrombosis and aneurysm rupture. Methods ...

The Extension for Mean Curvature Flow with Finite Integral Curvature in Riemannian Manifolds [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
We investigate the integral conditions to extend the mean curvature flow in a Riemannian manifold. We prove that the mean curvature flow solution with finite total mean curvature on a finite time interval $[0,T)$ can be extended over time $T$. Moreover, we show that the condition is optimal in some sense.

Targeting the MDM2‐MDM4 interaction interface reveals an otherwise therapeutically active wild‐type p53 in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

Non-existence of eternal solutions to Lagrangian mean curvature flow with non-negative Ricci curvature [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2016
In this paper, we derive a mean curvature estimate for eternal solutions (including translating solutions) of almost-calibrated Lagrangian mean curvature flow in complex Euclidean space. As a consequence, we show a non-existence result for eternal solutions of almost-calibrated Lagrangian mean curvature flow.

Forced hyperbolic mean curvature flow [PDF]

open access: yesKodai Mathematical Journal, 2012
In this paper, we investigate two hyperbolic flows obtained by adding forcing terms in direction of the position vector to the hyperbolic mean curvature flows in \cite{klw,hdl}. For the first hyperbolic flow, as in \cite{klw}, by using support function, we reduce it to a hyperbolic Monge-Amp$\grave{\rm{e}}$re equation successfully, leading to the short-

Exploration of heterogeneity and recurrence signatures in hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study leveraged public datasets and integrative bioinformatic analysis to dissect malignant cell heterogeneity between relapsed and primary HCC, focusing on intercellular communication, differentiation status, metabolic activity, and transcriptomic profiles.

Rigidity properties of Colding–Minicozzi entropies

open access: yesAdvanced Nonlinear Studies
We show certain rigidity for minimizers of generalized Colding–Minicozzi entropies. The proofs are elementary and work even in situations where the generalized entropies are not monotone along mean curvature flow.

The mean curvature flow for equifocal submanifolds [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2009
In this paper, we investigate the mean curvature flow having equifocal submanifolds as initial data. The investigation are performed by investigating the mean curvature flow having the lifted submanifolds to a Hilbert space through a Riemannian submersion as initial data.

The atypical KRASQ22K mutation directs TGF‐β response towards partial epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition in patient‐derived colorectal cancer tumoroids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
TGF‐β has a complex role in cancer, exhibiting both tumor‐suppressive and tumor‐promoting properties. Using a series of differentiated tumoroids, derived from different stages and mutational background of colorectal cancer patients, we replicate this duality of TGF‐β in vitro. Notably, the atypical but highly aggressive KRASQ22K mutation rendered early‐
