Pickering‐Engineered Microparticles for Magnetically Guided Motion and Light‐Triggered Catalysis
Magnetically responsive wax microparticles stabilized by hematite cubes through the Pickering emulsification strategy are developed, showing controlled size, motion, and light‐activated catalytic activity. Annealing under a magnetic field enhances their mobility and steering.

Mean Platelet Volume (MPV) For Predicting Prognosis of Rectum Cancer After Neoadjuvant Treatment [PDF]
Aim:Rectum cancer is a subtype of colorectal cancer. Its etiology and etiopathogenesis is similar to colon cancer. However, it is differentiated from colon tumors because of its anatomic location and treatment approach.

Can Mean Platelet Volume be Used as a Marker in Children with Acute Appendicitis?
Introduction: The primary aim of this study was to investigate the diagnostic value of mean platelet volume (MPV) in the diagnosis of acute appendicitis and the effect of the presence of complication on MPV values in children with acute appendicitis ...

We introduce a capillary‐filtering‐based particle‐filling (CFPF) process that simultaneously forms vertical thermal pathways and electrical vias within µ‐pores. In situ microfluidic analysis reveals that capillary‐driven velocity gradients generate vorticity that governs µ‐platelet rotation and vertical alignment.

Top‐down organic pillaring expands the interlayer spacing of bulk‐sized MoS2 particles while preserving the bulk morphology. Operando X‐ray diffraction and electrochemical dilatometry show that MoS2‐bulk undergoes solvent co‐intercalation in diglyme electrolyte, causing large structural expansion, while pillared, expanded MoS2 suppresses solvent uptake

The Use of Platelet Count and Indices as Prognostic Factors for Mortality in Children with Sepsis [PDF]
Background: Sepsis is still one of the leading causes of mortality and morbidity in children worldwide. Consumptive coagulopathy and suppression of thrombopoiesis in the bone marrow resulting from immune dysregulation are pathological mechanisms that ...

Mean platelet volumes in babies of preeclamptic mothers
The aim of this study was to compare the mean platelet volume (MPV) in babies of preeclamptic and normal pregnant women and to investigate the correlation between thrombocytopenia and MPV in the babies of preeclamptic mothers. A total of 63 newborns with similar gestational ages were included in this retrospective study.

A long‐lived, five‐cell‐type human neurovascular (PENTA) model recreates vascular disorganization and incomplete repair after traumatic brain injury (TBI). By integrating endothelial, glial, neuronal, and immune components within a 3D scaffold, the platform enables time‐resolved analysis of neurovascular remodeling and provides a human‐relevant system ...
