Estimation in the Mean Residual Life Regression Model
SUMMARY The proportional mean residual life model was originally proposed by Oakes and Dasu. This model can be extended to a regression model with explanatory variables. We consider the problem of estimation of the regression parameter in this general model.

A modified power-law model: Properties, estimation, and applications
Models of various physical, biological, and artificial phenomena follow a power law over multiple magnitudes. This article presents a modified Pareto model with an upside-down shape and an adjustable right tail. The moments, quantiles, failure rate, mean

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Summarising censored survival data using the mean residual life function [PDF]
The mean residual life (MRL) function provides a clear and simple summary of the effect of a treatment or a risk factor in units of time, avoiding hazard ratios or probability scales that require careful interpretation.
