Sine power Burr X distribution with estimation and applications in physics and other fields

open access: yesOpen Physics
This article aims to introduce a new three-parameter lifetime distribution called sine power Burr X (SPB-X) distribution. The proposed distribution is obtained by the sine-G class of distributions and the power Burr X distribution.

The Kumaraswamy Pareto IV Distribution

open access: yesAustrian Journal of Statistics, 2021
We introduce a new model named the Kumaraswamy Pareto IV distribution which extends the Pareto and Pareto IV distributions. The density function is very flexible and can be left-skewed, right-skewed and symmetrical shapes.

Prognosis of Long‐Term Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and the Impact of Combined Continuous Intravenous Sodium Infusion Therapy

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.

Enteropathogenic E. coli shows delayed attachment and host response in human jejunum organoid‐derived monolayers compared to HeLa cells

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

STUDY ON RELIABILITY DISTRIBUTION MODELS OF FATIGUE LIFE OF ANTI-VIBRATION RUBBER MATERIALS (MT)

open access: yesJixie qiangdu, 2022
Fatigue life of filled natural rubbers used in isolators is very dispersive owing to many uncertainties such as loads and temperature. Conventional crack initiation methods and crack propagation methods to determine fatigue life of rubbers are ...

The Extended Exponential Distribution and Its Applications

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA), 2018
We introduce a new three-parameter extension of the exponential distribution called the odd exponentiated half-logistic exponential distribution. Various of its properties including quantile and generating functions, ordinary and incomplete moments, mean

Spatiotemporal and quantitative analyses of phosphoinositides – fluorescent probe—and mass spectrometry‐based approaches

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Fluorescent probes allow dynamic visualization of phosphoinositides in living cells (left), whereas mass spectrometry provides high‐sensitivity, isomer‐resolved quantitation (right). Their synergistic use captures complementary aspects of lipid signaling. This review illustrates how these approaches reveal the spatiotemporal regulation and quantitative

Generalizing Uncertainty Through Dynamic Development and Analysis of Residual Cumulative Generalized Fractional Extropy with Applications in Human Health

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
The complementary dual of entropy has received significant attention in the literature. Due to the emergence of many generalizations and extensions of entropy, the need to generalize the complementary dual of uncertainty arose.
